Ross, and its not even close. He beat prime versions of two of the best fighters in the wold p4p at the time in Canzoneri and McLarnin and sports a far superior resume. Marciano is on of my favorites but I don't think he makes the top 50, while Ross easily cracks the top 25.

I voted for Ross as the better fighter. I feel Marciano was not a great fighter. He was very strong and had tremendous stamina, power and had a great heart. However I think Marciano did great things and was the ultimate over achiever.

Wow, Ross winning 4-0. Ring Magazine & Bert Sugar both had Marciano higher by a few places.

Surely do Ring Magazine & even Bert would look past this? Ring did have Monzon & Whitaker higher than Marciano, and he's more famous than them.

Well thats strange, I just assumed that would be the reason. Sugar has been biased for a long time though.
