Totally unjustifiable. And I'm a much bigger Floyd fan.

check out their records and you will see that most was european champion... GJC you often say that you are in your 50s or 60s but i often wonder if you followed this sport longer than the last couple of years, for you not to recall the the european title being the best way to get a world title fight beggars belief for someone your age who professes to have followed the sport for so long... even Ian Darke commented on it last night while commentating on the Haye vs Harrison fight

Sonny I have just had a look at European title holders, I have too much respect for your knowledge to debate you on a point without doing a little research. I would suggest you have a look yourself my friend, it doesn't stand up. I'm up to Damiani and even if you include Wood****s dubious title claims you have him Carpentier and Uzcudun pre Patterson. Btw London never held the Euro title!

Actually in my 70s Sonny so have a very good memory of how lightly the Euro title was regarded by the Americans probably more relevant now given the European age re the HWs certainly wasn't back in Patterson and Ali's day. Like I say have a research it's quite interesting

They are after Patterson but as memory serves Tangsted fought Spinks as part of that unifying thing when Spinks almost opted out and Tyson cleaned out the division? Bruno got the Witherspoon fight because of The Coetzee ko as for Rodriguez that kind of works against your argument. HW champions have fought the Euro champion for an easy defence Holmes defence before Rodriguez was Cobb

you are talking in riddles and twisting yourself in knots...here is some European Champions who fought for the heavyweight title GJC so take back your comment that "it's not accurate" it is accurate

                Lucian Rodriguez
                Georges Carpentier
                Don ****ell
                Steffen Tangsted
                Lennox Lewis
                Karl Mildenberger
                Paulino Uzcudun
                Zeljko Mavrovic
                Henry Akinwande
                Lorenzo Zanon
                Richard Dunn
                Joe Bugner
                Henry Cooper
                Audley Harrison

Whatever that book is that your reading on European Boxing i suggest you invest in one that is factual

Lewis announced his retirement only days before he was due to be stripped of his last remaining belt.

JAB... show me one single thing i have ever said about Lennox Lewis which is not accurate.

you say there is no sense in debating with me about Lewis yet i want you to show me what it is that is "incorrect, inaccurate" which i say while debating Lewis..you responded to my opening post on this Topic by saying" I would respectfully disagree with this all the way around my friend."... i asked for your take on the subject, you never accepted my offer so i stated my case for Patterson over Lewis and you come back to me after 100+ threads have been posted and more than a 1000+ views on the Topic and say to me "there is no sense debating with me about Lewis"..... Yet no one has stated a case for the guy so i would be pleased if you could show to me what it is that i have stated about Lewis that you find to be incorrect or inaccurate...which would back up your comment that there is no sense in debating Lewis with me...

i posted a comment about Lewis career during the period 1992-2000 asking McCoy & Scott if they agree or disagree... they never answered and the reason they never answered is because it would destroy their claim that they say "LEWIS WAS DOMINANT".. i make a case yet you say it is nonsense?

Sonnyboy, do you think Rademacher, McNeeley, Harris and London were deserving challengers? You don't seem to want to answer that question.
