Horse feathers.
Bob Foster could punch. Jerry Quarry could punch. Oscar Bonavena could punch. Frazier beat them all.
The only man who knocked him out is considered by many to be one of the hardest punchers of all time. None of the men mentioned by the thread-starter punch anywhere near as hard as Foreman.Last edited by JAB5239; 10-21-2010, 02:58 PM.Comment

Holyfield-Frazier and Tyson-Frazier are extremely even fights. No one really compares to Frazier inside, but Holyfield could definitely hold his own and use his natural physical advantage to bully Frazier. I'd pick Frazier, but just barely by decision and out of ten fights they may split who wins.
Tyson would have a very easy time finding Frazier to hit him, but that wouldn't discourage Frazier and Frazier would get inside like always where Tyson was uncomfortable. If Frazier can handle the power, he eventually breaks Tyson down and dominates down the stretch for the decision.
Lewis beats Frazier, he was just too big and too skilled. Vitali is the same situation, too big, too strong, too skilled.
I'd definitely pick Frazier over Wlad, Wlad's pawing jab and basic punch selection would be a breeze for Frazier to get by, and while it wouldn't be easy to deal with the size or power Wlad isn't skilled enough to deal with how good Frazier was at getting inside. Frazier wins a comfortable decision, maybe stops Wlad late.Comment

Prime Joe Frazier beats em all. With the Tyson fight being the most entertaining with a few knock downs and a devastating KO over Tyson. Being glass chinned but resembling a fractured image of Ali, Lewis puts up a decent 6 rounds before tasting to many left hooks and succumbing to Smokin Joe. The Klitchko's last longer than Lewis but even they cant run for ever from Joe's bobbing and weaving and taste more leather than they ever have and being glassed chinned as they fall to the best left hook ever.Comment

I obviously disagree, as he saw in my post. Lewis knew how to use his size, and Frazier was a sucker for Lewis's money punches, the jab, right, and uppercut. Frazier wouldn't get obliterated, but I can't see him winning. It's not like Tyson, where Tyson's athleticism would make it very hard for Lewis to avoid the big punches, Frazier wasn't that athletic.Comment

Joe Frazier is 100x the fighter Lewis was, in every aspect. Lewis has nothing over Frazier but a size advantage. It took Lewis 8 rounds to put away a shot Tyson and in the prime of his career was cold clocked out by C fighters who were not known for their punching power or style, there is absolutely zero chance that he is beating Joe Frazier. Do not embarrass yourself by arguing otherwise. An argument for that would be amusing though.Comment

Lewis had a better left jab and a better right cross than Frazier did, both of which he could land while being out of Joe's punching range. Lewis (like Holmes) was mostly vulnerable to rights, and of course Frazier's money punch was his left hook. I can see either man winning, but this isn't nearly as cut and dry as you make it sound.Comment
