Not familier with Kaplan. I was considering Tszyu for the Sovs but decided on Vitali.

      El Salvador

      Haite
      Honduras
      Iceland
      Luxemberg
      Suriname
      Trinidad And Tobago
      Yugoslavia
Yugoslavia can claim Mate Parlov, who at lightheavy was an Olympic gold medalist and WBC champion briefly.

I was surprised to learn that no major fighters have come from El Salvador.

Who cares where they were born. It matters where they lived and what country they fought for. And Tua fought for New Zealand.

Thank you for the "grey" k for stating where Fitzsimmons and Tua hail from. Now, I ask again, whose trolling sockpuppet alt are you? :loser9:

Try doing a little research and you might just find out how good Peter Jackson actually was.

It's a lot easier to make lists when you aren't counting countries less than 25 years old

You're right on both counts but as has been mentioned already, they both fought under the NZ flag and are considered to be New Zealanders.

Tommy Donovan never fought outside of NZ ,and for the most part the names on his record appear over and over again. I don't mean any disrespect but did you just search boxrec for the most obscure name in an effort to look knowledgable on South Pacific club fighters? I have asked guys of all ages at work, and in the bar last night, and nobody has a recollection of him being anything other than just another boxer.

I could care less where they fought out of.....the only thing I count is where they come from. Simon Brown fought out of Washington DC but guess what? He's a Jamaican. End of story. The Klitschkos fight out of Germany are we supposed to count them as Krauts now? Come on. As for Donovan it's not exactly MY fault New Zealand has never produced any native born fighters of note.
