Even with the injury I felt it was a narrow Holmes victory and this bs about Norton being robbed is just that: Bull**** :bull****9:

Holmes used to spar with Ali. It was Norton who used to be in the same stable as Frazier.

Hopefully someday soon, someone puts something together. I would do it, but I know it would take me years to finish, lol

As per my first post on this thread I rate Holmes top 5 too, I'm a big fan. You caught me a little cold before, I fear it was Holmes's left bicep that was injured going into the Norton fight, not his right. I'm pretty sure Larry mentions this on Champions forever, I'll check it out.

I did score the Holmes vs Norton fight to Holmes by a round. Close fight.

Norton always did give decent orthodox technicians like Ali, Young and Holmes a tough fight.

No, Larry used to spar with Frazier too. He helped Frazier prepare for Ali 1971. There is very brief footage on 'The Fighters' documentary.

Ah ok! I thought it was the other way around.....still, the way Holmes' relied on his jab a torn LEFT bicep is even more of a handicap than the right.

I think Frazier's better/more likely chance would be by decision. Just an opinion of course based on what I've seen of the two of them. Not a fight I would bet on!

I dont think Frazier would do a 'Jimmy Ellis' on Holmes in four rounds. I think Larry's game was better in every way than Ellis's......not to mention chin, reach and dimensions.
My reason for strongly believing Frazier would `smoke` Holmes is that Frazier in his fight with Ali in 1971 was relentless and also he showed in his fight with Ali in Manilla that he was an unbelievable pressure fighter and Holmes is not in the same league as Muhammad Ali was in 1971, Ali hit Frazier with well over 1000+ punches but Frazier done all the damage up close, i cannot see how Holmes could keep Frazier off of him as he does not have the footwork or the speed of punch that Muhammad Ali had, Ali used his uppercut very effectively against Frazier but it was not enough and with Frazier's bobbing & weaving style it is very difficult to keep him off with the jab no matter how good your jab is Frazier slips it and gets inside and IMO that would be curtains for Holmes

His jab still was superb that night despite the pain. Full credit to Holmes, he clearly wanted that belt. Crazy guy!!!
