You all talk about Wladimir clinching, Ali invented the clinch, that's all he did, that and dance around for a little bit in the ring when the opponent was 10 feet away, for some reason that was somehow made him entertaining. His biggest defensive strategy was to lay on the ropes and let the other guy beat himself into exhaustion.

Ali's biggest claim to fame is his gift of gab, he knew how to sell a fight, he was brash and talked a lot of ****, he was very vocal, he built his own brand by proclaiming himself the GOAT and that moniker stuck
Wladimir Klitschko would disagree with you there.

""no matter where you are from,no matter which color your skin has, everybody around the world knows Muhammad Ali.

he was the greatest entertainer boxing ever had and probably will have.I am watching every movement of Ali in the ring.44 years ago Ali defended his title against Mildenberger in this Arena and knocked him out.i am proud to box in the same arena as Ali did and i will do the same to Peter Ali did back then."

Just because someone is entertaining doesn't mean they are exciting, the two don't have to go hand in hand. Wlad spoke of his entertainment accomplishments. I am not doubting Ali's fame or drawing power, that is undisputable.

Also, Wlad is classy as ****, he'll always be respectful of past greats, even if he surpasses Louis' and Holmes' records in terms of defenses, you'll never hear him say that he is better than them.

Personally, for me, Wlad's fights are a lot more exciting than Ali's, but that's just a personal opinion, you don't have to agree with me. Now for Ali, I wasn't even born when he fought, I appreciate his standing in history but the videos I did see of him, were kind of boring, maybe because I knew the outcome already. Nevertheless, I can't see many people on here saying realisticly that Jack Johnson fights were exciting yet a lot of people will say he is great because of his standing in history, point being, the more time passes the more we become we nostagic and we highlight the best parts about the past while forgetting the worst. The same will happen with the Klitschkos as it did with Lennox.

I doubt this will happen as he only has 15 (I think) overall and only 6 consecutive. He has also never been a unified champ, nor considered universally to be better than his brother. Never say never though.

He is classy though and nobody can knock him on that.

Only four of his title defenses were against men weighing less than 200 (boxrec to the rescue!) so I'm not sure where you get that he was fighting LHW and CWs.

Of course Ali had a great mouth, but he backed up his words by beating six IBHOF hall-of-famers and by winning the Title on three occasions.

How many of Wlad's opponents will end up in the Hall of Fame? (Hint: The answer rhymes with "hero".)

I hear alot of people say his fights with Mac Foster, Shavers, Young, Norton, Bugner 1 & 2, are very boring and some even near unwatchable.

I think Ali was exciting. Yes he was a slick boxer with and awesome defense BUT he let his hands go. That's the key, slick boxers are not automatically boring.....the ones that let their hands go are as exciting as anybody.

Every fight you listed was after his 3 1/2 year lay-off.You even name fights when Ali was a shot fighter. The Shavers,Young, and 3rd Norton fight was a shot Ali.The rest were after his 3 1/2 year lay-off.

I understand. For the most part he was on par with Floyd Mayweather, where he would dominate his opponent thoroughly, and unless u were a die-hard fan of his, u may not fight him too exciting.
