Conn , LaMotta , Robinson , Cerdan, Maxiam, See the row basically had their own tourney amongnst themselves , to their misfortune. They had to keep busy , the top guys from welters to Lt-heavys avoided the row .Certain they had good reason! You should read up on them Brothers , the readings should answer any and all questions about The "Black Murderers Row "!!!

Maxim certainly didn't duck fighters from the BMR. He had multiple fights with Moore, Charles and Bivins alongwith fights against Satterfield and Marshall. Can't remember if Satterfield was part of the row, but the rest were. LaMotta also had fights with Satterfield, Marshall and Bert Lytell. Would have to check on the rest for confirmation.

Yep, LaMotta fought Satterfield and Holman Williams back to back, he even said Satterfield was the hardest puncher he fought in his career.

How could I forget about Williams on LaMotta's resume? Nice catch!

Moore, Charles and Satterfield wasn't part of them.
The original BMR line up by Budd Schulberg is Charley Burley, Eddie Booker, Jack Chase, Bert Lytell, Lloyd Marshall, Holman Williams and I think Curtis Shepard.
Bivins, Tiger Wade and Cocoa Kid were added after as well.

A lot of them were unable to get a fight for the title because Tony Zale was in WW2 and avoided them after.
Billy Conn, Marcel Cerdan and Rocky Graziano all avoided them.

Jake LaMotta certainly avoided Burley, he has been quoted saying:
"Why do I need Burley when I have Zivic ?"
Or something a long those lines.

Ray Robinson increased the demand on a Burley and Cocoa Kid fight. Although Burley holds nothing against him saying he would of done the same thing was he in Ray's position, there was no money in them fighting.

Its been a bit since I read the book "Charley Burley and the black murderers row" but I recall both Moore and Charles being mentioned more than once. Im not questioning your info, only that maybe they weren't considered part of the row after reaching prominence and or winning titles.

Moore and Charles were certainly the biggest fights for the BMR and they suffered the same effects for a long time of not being able to get a title shot but they were never actually labeled as being part of the BMR.

They should be mentioned alongside because of the impact they had on them though.
