But Carnera was no bigger than Jameel McCline.
Hassim Rahman is much bigger than Billy Conn.

But lets rearrange them , to keep it as parallel as possible :
    McCline ~ Carnera
    Thompson ~ Buddy Baer
    Sanders ~ Simon
    Puritty > Lou Nova
    Brock ~ Max Baer
    Brewster ~ Schmelling
    Povetkin > Walcott
    Ibragimov > Arturo Godoy
    Chagaev > Tami Mauriello
    Byrd > Conn

All in all , it would be the expected common biased bigotry to claim that the average or the average top Louis' opponent was as big as Wladimir. But you are the common poster here , so it did not come as a big surprise.
ah, its always fun when someone throws out 'biased bigotry' out of nowhere. very fair.

now, pay attention: I clearly said 1. Im only counting top ten opponents and 2. Im only counting people Wladimir beat.
That rules out Sanders and Purrity right off the bat, and also McCline technically but because McCline was a decent fighter Ill go ahead and accept him in the discussion.

And, as of yet, Louis has beaten bigger top ten fighters than Wladimir has. this is true. Im not saying all Louis' opponents were huge guys either...but between Max and Buddy Baer, Simon, and Carnera, comparatively Louis still has beaten the bigger high level opponents compared to Wladimir, whos best wins are actually over guys no bigger than 6'2.

not that it even necessarily means anything, I just wanted to dispel the myth that Louis would struggle with today's so called 'huge guys'. He wouldnt struggle with them because of size, since he fought and beat high level opposition that were actually larger than most the guys around today.

whats funny is that I wasnt even trying to slight Wladimir, I simply was using him as a reference point to describe how Louis would do in today's division of supposedly 'larger' guys.
topic kind of got thrown off course, I guess.

side note: if you look at the hardest punches of all time, very few of them have been super muscular or ripped. especially not so much in the chest area

now, thats not to say that extra muscles 'hurt' your punching power. actualyl the mechanics of a punch can vary a LOT. power can come from many different muscle groups(hips, legs, back, chest, shoulders, traps). thats why theres no monopoly on the physicality of a big puncher: sometimes youll see tall lanky guys who hit like trucks, and conversely have short stocky guys that could just as equally destroy you. depends on the nature of the punch, but theres a lot of ways to generate power behind a punch.

point is: just because someone appears more muscular doesnt necessarily make them the more powerful puncher.

So what you proved is Louis' top 10 ranked opponents were about as big as Wladimir's . Well , maybe , but in terms of skill they ****** so much they could even learn from today's weak unskilled big men.

Wladimir and Joe Louis are very similar fighters whether we like to admit it or not.

Both have 1 punch KO power
          Both have glass chins
          Both dominated weak eras
Joe outweighed Billy Conn by 30 lbs
Wlad outweighed Chambers by 35 lbs

Both have 54+ wins to only 3 losses

If Wlad is able to rack up 12 more W's he is going to equal Joe Louis's record of 66-3. It'll be difficult to keep him out of the top 10 at that point.

Joe never lost to Journeymen or fringe contenders, thats the difference. And skills. And heart. And competition. Thats about it though.

              Now you have 6 , not 5.

Have better resumes than Louis .
Louis beat former champs which were smaller than himself ? Tyson beat former champs which were bigger than himself , plus he did it much more convincingly without being decked and humiliated himself.
If Holmes and Spinks don't count for Tyson then Sharkey , Conn and Braddock surely don't count for Louis.
Frazier dominated fighters better than the ones Louis dominated :
Ali , Chuvalo , Quarry , Ellis , Mathis , Doug Jones and Stander are better than almost every opponent Louis ever beat. Even Joe Bugner is about the level of Louis' best opponents he managed to beat not before visiting the canvas himself.
I was going to respond to this but its just to ****** to even dignify by putting in the time. Your lack of knowledge is truly startling, and Blackirish has already dismembered you. No need to beat a dead horse.
