It's not close between Pea and Leonard for the last 30 years?

The one thing thats prevent me from giving it to leonard was i feel he got gift decisions on occasion. Like Hearns II. He stole it from an old hagler fair and square. Barely, but fair and square. Leonard probably squeaks in around four or five.

I rethought about all godo fighters from 1980+ and i reorder my list a little bit

      1) Whitaker
      2) Hearns
      3) RJJ
      4) Leonard
      5) Hagler

Everybody gets a gift decision; Whitaker needed a little help in Rivera I (though I didn't think it was that big a controversy). Leonard had Duran, Hearns, and Hagler clean from 80-87; throw in the underrated Kalule as well as a top notch win. I can knock the layoffs, and the late career shenanigans, but no one else has three wins that good.

Damn I was just thinkin 90s. Frogive me im on barcardi & sunndy but yeah Leonard has to be up their in consideration along with Duran, Hagler, and Hearns. But I just think Pernell snags it because his only true losses are to Tito and the guy after that. I think before that he was undefeated. Always robbed by the juges.

Convince me that he's so much better than Ricardo Lopez.

He was virtually undefeated from 1984-97 and could have had the Oscar nod to make it 99. More titles, more weight classes, undisputed and an ATG at Lightweight (one of histories finest classes) and his opposition was eons better than Lopez's. Nelson and Chavez are ATG fighters. The best Lopez has are good fighters; there ain't a great one within eye shot and he could easily have had a great fighter (Johnson) and was among the horde who skipped him.

                    P4P, Whitaker clowns Lopez.

Are we talking about skills, resume, or a combination of both? Because Lopez was more technically sound than Whitaker, and fought everyone in his weight class.
