Also, who is more believable to you, Ali or Liston? Ali claims Liston would put substances on his glove to blind fighters. Do you believe that? If so? There goes all of his KO's...easy to knock guys out who are blind....what a joke. I suppose you guys are big Margarito fans too.

And how is he going to get close enough to body punch Vitali, you clearly dont watch boxing, it aint easy to body punch Vitali in his stance. He leaves his chin out there to protect his body.

Have you ever boxed? Im guessing not.
ah going to make the cut off Tyson are we? That because his height totally makes a nonsence of your theories, how many fighters was Tyson taller than?

      Yes I have boxed

Vitali could keep his hands behind his back against the current crop, Liston would hit him and hurt him. When fighters are hurt they cover up, only thing is you only got 2 arms so if you cover your head, the other fighter if he has a clue goes for the body. That brings your arms down they go for the head. It's a very simple sport that really hasn't changed that much you know.

You clearly dont watch Vitali, also Tyson was the end of the HW era and after him was the dawn of the Super heavies. He just came at the pivot between generations. Similar to Ali who actually was able to pivot with the generations due to increase in size and the years off helped.

There is a reason tyson ducked Lewis, Bowe and even Foreman. Theres a reason when he came back he never fought a Klitschko even though both repeatedly called him out. Tyson even said, "Its hard getting inside on the big guys."

People have gotten bigger, the average weight for an NFL lineman now is 320 lbs, 355 for OT's. Back before 1970 it was 250. Its just a fact, we understand more about weight lifting (which benefits linemen the most), we understand more about nutrition and recovery as well. The average height of an NFL lineman was 5'11 during the "NFL's first year. Now its 6'6, why is that?

Ask yourslef this, what do NFL linemen do. They push people around, they move people. Pass blocking is borderline punching. They have to stop guys from getting around them. So why would being tall and weighing a lot help. Why would they use bench press as a way to tell how good they will be? Under your theory none of that would matter. Size isnt the only issue, as guys have weighed upwards of 450 and been kicked out of the NFL, and there are guys 7 foot tall who are completely ineffective. People have evolved. Height and size help a ton when it comes to hitting and pushing people around and moving bodies.

There are no more linemen in the NFL under 280, back in the day 280 would be big, why is that? Do you believe the all-pro football linemen of the 1950's woudl even make most highschool teams. Old timey boxing fans are the only sports fans who hold on to the belief that people from past eras are better than people of current eras.

Not only does Sonny Liston have great reach, but his pole like left jab knocked out some of his opponents teeth! Liston's left jab would not only reach Klit, but it would snap back his head again and again.

Don't forget that Liston has awesome power in every punch he throws. His left hook, left uppercut, straight right hand, and right uppercut are all very powerfull.

Liston has the better chin, the better stamina, the better head movement, and is the smarter fighter.

PRIME Sonny Liston(1959-1962) would easily destroy both the Klit brothers in brutal fashion.

I havent seen enough of Liston to fairly try and predict this matchup.

But I feel Vitali is actually very misrepresented as a fighter. Hes not nearly as big a puncher as some people make him out to be, despite his super high KO percentage. I have no doubt whatsoever that Wladimir is the harder puncher of the brothers.

but yet I feel Vitali is underrated in the smarts department. for such a tall guy, he can put together some pretty fluid punches at odd angles, especially his uppercuts and body punches.

Liston has a better chin than Vitali...Liston was KO'ed by a jab in 1.

Also again, didnt Liston cheat? Didnt he blind his opponents? Are you all big fans of Margarito too?
