V is decent and a tough guy but his comp has been soft giving impressionable fans the illusion of greatness.
Louis lost to 3 guys in his career under 195. Well really 4 because Walcott was absolutely robbed. So lost to 4 cruisers. Louis clearly was fighting in another era where fighters were completely different. Vitali took the Lewis fight under 10 days notice, got cut, wasnt training for that type of fight whatsoever.

Let me ask you this, if Vitali fought 52 guys under 200 lbs...52, would you be fine with that?

Louis fought 52 fights against guys under 200 lbs. Funny thing...thats exactly the amount of KO's he had. So let me get this straight, its totally cool to fight guys under 200 lbs if youre a heavyweight so long as theyre good at cruiserweight. These guys werent cutting to get under 200 either, they were legit 200 lbs, many under 175. 52 guys under 200 lbs. For those of you keeping score, 75% of the guys Louis fought would not be heavyweights today...75%. But weight doesnt matter lets just have no weight classes at all. People on here say it doesnt matter at all, so why have them?

Why have p4p ratings? Weight just makes you slower. Man, Wlad must be the top of your p4p ratings considered he has great speed and power and is doing so much despite being slowed by that weight and his awful stamina. IF he was Floyd's weight...hed be unstoppable....

Its a different era. If you cant tell that by the fact that 75% of the guys Louis fought wouldnt even be heavyweights today...I cant help you.

Lewis took the Vitaly fight with under 10 days notice, was fat, old and out of shape and still persevered. Go figure.

Let me ask you this, if Louis fought 52 Toney Galento's would you be fine with that? We know how he did against fighters comparable in size and skill yet you want to ignore that.

Lol, you cut your own nose off to spite your face here. It is common knowledge that fighters trained DOWN to their most optimal weight. I suppose we could let them come in like a Arreola, Gomez, Peter, Williams or Johnson, but that really isn't conducive to good stamina and fighting at you best weight, is it? It is conducive to still being able to go to the Waffle house and getting paid regardless though, isn't it?

If you can't tell that 75% of the heavyweights today don't have the discipline or heart to have fought in Louis era, I don't know what to tell you. In boxing, bigger doesn't mean better.

Thank you. But isn't my way of writing a civil manner?
I'd love to take up the debate. There's things I don't know about the oldtimers, but I just believe they are overrated. As the sport has evolved in both speed, size and technique.
You would sure school me in some eras, and I'd like to learn and discuss my points of view at the same time.

This guy aint koing ****. His whole argument is opinion and is based on this guy:

is the same as this guy

Yep...their bodies look composed of the same exact material.

            or that this guy:

worked hard than even someone like this guy:

Than this guys. Human bodies are very interesting things. You can tell a lot, not all, but a lot about how hard a person works, how strong they are etc...just by their body.

So when HOlyfield moved up what did he add? or Jones. Mostly muscle. Fighters back then lacked the muscle to throw punches as hard and muscle in the legs and back and neck and core to throw such punches.

look at this guy, he was great, but the game has changed.

^^^^^^^ Since when did physical appearance mean so much in boxing?

              Ken Norton should've been undefeated.

Man all that skill of the small Max Schmeling couldnt save him from being brutally KO'ed by a cruiser named Gypsey.

No such thing as a "Cruiser": It's a bogus made up division not nobody pays any attention to because they KNOW it's a bogus made up division. You're either a Light-Heavyweight or a Heavyweight.....period.
