  • I can't see how Rocky would even be competitive. He got dropped by smaller fighters and his reckless style would not serve him well against Tyson of all people. Tyson struggled with boxers. Holyfield and Lewis were all wrong for him, Rocky would be made to order, especially against a prime Tyson who had speed, power, head movement, and threw lethal combinations.

And after you express yourself... instead of coming back here right away and fighting with all those nasty boxing people... arm yourself with some knowledge. Google is your friend!

If you try wealllly hard you might be able to figure out things like:

      1) the difference between a journeyman and a great fighter.

      2) Why Loma has a bit to go before we compare him to Ray Robinson. Heres a tidbit to get you started... Ray Robinson could knock a man out going backwards...With either hand...

      You get the idea!
Well, a great fighter doesn't get stopped by Leotis Martin. He definitely doesn't quit (twice, no less) when fighting for the World's Heavyweight Championship.

Robinson was stopped by Maxim. Has Lomachenko ever fought anyone as BAD as Maxim? Or Fullmer for that matter?

I get it, it's two dudes actually fighting, instead of Robot Dancing solo, so that's a huge step up for you. But relatively speaking, what's impressive about it?

This is the guy out-jabbed and knocked out of the ring by Jake LaMotta for God's sake! Jake LaMotta! Outside of his best years!!!!

Careful. Your slaughtering one of their Sacred Cows! That's worse than the chow hall crew at their Looney House telling them there's no Cool Whip to go with their Jell-O tonight.

        • Rusty again has no clue. Blank slate.

Lomo only has 15 pro bouts. Only a true boxing amateur makes judgements of any fighter in terms of ATG status after 15 bouts. By doing so you reveal a complete lack of knowledge concerning the sport.

Maxim was an excellent fighter. Not an ATG. SRR was a middleweight fighting for the light heavyweight championship that night and was WAYYYY ahead until the heat, not his opponent, rendered him helpless. The referee that night was near collapse when he sat out the remainder of the bout also due to the heat. B

Jake LaMotta exhibited the toughness and will to win at all costs required for all time greatness. An attribute Loma has yet to demonstrate. Jake was not an ATG but he was as tough as they come and was deceptively cute defensively.

SRR fought 20 bouts in a single year. To be that active with rarely an off night is another sign of greatness.

This is clearly a cry for help.

What's wrong? You just want friends?

                • As big a Marciano fan as I am (obviously), I still gotta give this one to Tyson. I don't think Rocky has ever faced anyone that can come on that strong that quickly, with that kind of KO power in both hands. Sure if The Rock can get past 3-4 rounds, he might have a shot, but a young motivated Mike could seriously mess a guy up in that short amount of time and, like has been said before, Rocky had been knocked down by Walcott and Moore, who had nowhere near the punching power of Tyson. Mike does that in Round 1 and he finishes Rocky off, getting an early TKO. Rock might have the heart to get up and make it look like Foreman-Frazier 1, but I see the ref waving this off at some point.

                    - -So would Lewie and Field who were nowhere near his class during his record setting tear up and reunification of the heavy titles.

I'm mystified how you can't see this elephant in your room.

I'm not convinced Tyson does any better in his prime against Holyfield. Lewis yes, Holyfield not quite.
