Fields was a bum, but at least it was a close fight and not a blow out. Im also not saying Briggs is some great fighter, he isnt at all. Neither one is above average, but no one is talking about how great Briggs is but people talk about how great Shavers is all the time. Thats the point of this thread.

Briggs is by far the hardest puncher in the history of the sport. He ruled for many years one of the toughest HW division we have ever witnessed. That makes him a bonafide ATG.

Hence if Vitali beats him he has a legit claim to be the GOAT.

i also had Foreman a clear winner against Briggs, i blame referee Larry Hazard Jr. for the corrupt decision in that fight which robbed George of his title...

Shavers was vastly superior to Briggs in terms of punching-power and quality of opposition.

Verdict was a shocker and one of those robberies that never gets much print on here.

Klitschko fans have to be some of the most pathetic on the board... They build up ****ty opponents better than Bob Arum, and if you don't agree with them, their panties get in a bunch.

Even Jameel McCline is better than Shannon Briggs and has a win over him.

The 2nd fight was such a non event that a draw was more than fair no one deserved to win it. Could say that Young got robbed against Norton, but I guess they all look the same eh?
