and david haye is the same height but weighs more than ali for fights and he's just as fast as ali.
    probabley more so in reflexes
Muhammad Ali went up to 250lbs between fights.Hardly a cruiserweight.

Did you just say that David Haye is just as fast as Muhammad Ali?

And probably more so in reflexes?

    Prime Muhammad Ali? Lol

obviously according to the history section boys the past is definetly better, but are you a biologist?
Records being broken and tougher competition lies directly with how many people are competing at any particular sport overall. More people competing at one time does not equal evolution. More people competed in boxing during past era's making the competition tougher.

Muhammad Ali weighed 225lbs against Joe Frazier in the Trilla' in Manilla.

He weighed 221lbs against Ken Norton in the 3rd fight.

Now that Haye is up to 220lbs,why do you make him out to be a giant? Yes,he has quick hands, the fastest "since" Muhammad Ali.But Prime Muhammad Ali's reflexes were alot quicker than Haye's.Go to yotube and watch Ali in his prime young man.

So you quote his weight when you claim he wasnt in his prime...although he couldnt take a punch back then and he got dropped all the time by light heavies. You mix and match Ali's attributes. Oh, he had a great chin...look at the Thrilla in Manilla or when he fought Foreman, and look at how fast he was in 1966...its a joke. you cant mix and match. His weight gain improvedhis chin and lowered his speed. He moved like a cruiser back in 1966...because he was a cruiser.

Lol, all the time? Who are these light heavyweights you speak of? Neither Bob Foster nor Archie Moore, arguably the two hardest hitting light heavies ever dropped him. Who are these fighters you speak of?

Henry Cooper for one, dropped him into ******ation. In todays game he would have been KO'ed. Sorry and he had tot ake smelling salts to gain conciousness after almost punching Dundee. Cooper weighed 188 pounds by the way.

Archie Moore? You want to talk about Archie Moore? Archie Moore was punch drunk, 85 years old, and actually was training ali before fighting him, come on, that was a joke fight. Thats like if you dumped Larry Holmes in the ring right now and put him against Wlad. Ali fans talk about prime all the time and then want to count the Archie Moore fight as some kind of victory. And why the **** did Ali fight Bob Foster when he outweighed him by 41 pounds. Oh yea...Ali was a joke, forgot for a second.

Oh and prove that less people in the world are boxing. In fact more people try boxing today than ever before. However, if you suck, you move on to other things like MMA stuff, Kick Boxing, K1 etc...The best stay in it.

Almost all the great heavyweight champions have been knocked down. Most of them in there prime too.

Henry Cooper dropped a young Cassius Clay in 1963 with only 18 professional fights.Even you admit that Ali's prime was 1966/67.So you do the math.Cassius Clay was 3 or 4 years "before" his prime of 1966/67,that you agree was his prime.

Let me educate you a little bit about that 1963 fight with Henry Cooper, since were talking about it.Cassius Clay got exactly what he deserved(Getting knocked down)by not putting Cooper away in the 3rd round when he probably could have.He had Cooper in trouble and backed off, because he wanted to fullfill his prediction for a 5th round KO or TKO.Well, cruzing along in the 4th round he got hit with a left hook he never saw coming. He got what he deserved.

But after getting dropped in the 4th round,he came out and stopped Cooper in the 5th round just as predicted. But he should have put him away in the 3rd round.Muhammad Ali and Henry Cooper fought 11 rounds in two fights and Muhammad Ali won 10 out of 11 rounds!

Now answer the question that you posted about saying that Muhammad Ali GOT DROPPED ALL THE TIME BY LIGHT HEAVIES?

Again, you make yourself out to be a fool in front of everybody. When did he get dropped "all the time" by light heavies? That's what you said. Now name all these light heavies that dropped him? Your a moron and a fool who knows nothing about boxing history. Well,we will be waiting for your answer you moron,Lol

How does it feel to be made a fool of and a moron IN FRONT OF EVERYONE? lOL

                    • I agree with the TS somewhat. I wouldn't say every single fighter is better than the ones back then but for the most part, alot of the top dawgs from current eras would survive and beat the guys back then.

Things change. Science changed. Nutrition changed. All which contribute to a better athlete. Stronger, faster, bigger. With the addition of technology, you can even get a athlete with a higher sport IQ.

Then you add that the things they did back then aren't neglected. They are analyzed and the un-essential is hacked away and what worked is kept and then built upon to make it better.

So yes, many athletes now are better than their predecessors. It doesn't mean every single one is better than past but top dawg to top dawg, yes it is. None of this "give them the technology of now" ****, because that only proves my point. Things changed.

The only sport that I find that doesn't acknowledge this fact is boxing. Which is why I say, the only sport where athletes get worse instead of better is boxing.
