Al Jones , was he avoided in the late 60's ?

And its unlikely he avoided him after that since he was fighting elite world class comp and Jones was fighting has beens or ham and eggers. Two different levels of fighters here. Jones would have had to prove himself before being considered worthy.
    How could he ever prove himself when none of the elite of the division faced him
    ?

      I guess that falls on his management than since it is their job to make those fights happen. I mentioned this as a reason before and you didn't want to hear it. It isn't the established contenders place to make a fight with an unproven commodity, but the other way around.

        I could ask for evidence but i know there is none because it is not one of the few things i do not want to hear.

        not for me , but for you and the likes of you a stoppage over cleveland williams and a draw against zora folley are considered proven commodity .
        And now you'll say Williams was old .
        And I viewed Williams' profile in boxrec and in tells he was shot by a policeman in a traffic stop , lost a kidney and went down from 218lbs to 145lbs , when did it happen ? it was also written he had kidney problems later in life .
