    But not because of speed.
And in second thinking , Roy just may have outran Evander en route to some decision win or lose.

Are some of you serious here...Roy would have trouble dealing with Holyfield's speed....I beg to differ, in fact it would be the opposite IMO!

Come on now, Roy fought at middleweight, and while Holy is a great fighter and the stronger fighter, there is no way in hell his speed would give Roy ANY trouble at all! His bullying and headbutting tactics might, but Roy has fought faster fighters with no problem at all, remember we are talking about perhaps the fastest freak of nature ever in boxing in RJJ!

PLEASE stop using the RJJ that was clearly past his prime as a comparison, if so, we should use the Holyfield of right now as the fighter a prime RJJ would fight against, and the Holyfield of today's work rate wouldn't be up to par in such a case.

Holyfield would try and maul RJJ, but Roy's back RARELY touched the ropes in his prime, he was quick as hell with BOTH his feet AND his hands, and Holy would have a hell of a time getting to Roy. While I wouldn't say Holy would be dominated by RJJ or vice versa, i'd take a prime RJJ to eke out a decision over Holyfield (and yes, i've seen many Holy fights at Cruiser).

I'll say it again, those who try and compare the shell that is RJJ after the Ruiz fight to the man in his prime are WAAAAAY OFF. I wouldn't compare a prime RJJ with the Holyfield of today, the guy that barely can throw 20 punches per round, so please stop those silly comparisons guys.
