I think ya'll be(as they say on this hip hop forums) underrating the speed of Evander Holyfield. Was he as fast as Roy Jones? Probably not.but he did have tremendous handspeed and excellent timing.

Holyfield wasn't some crude pressure fighter with a good chin, the guy was an excellent boxer and a great counter puncher when he chose to be.

    This^^^^

Holyfield is too big, too skilled to get beat by a smaller man, you can move up and beat B/C class fighters and they might not be able to make their extra size a factor, however elite fighters can and invariably do make it a big factor in the fight, see Bowe vs Holyfield.

evander would have knockout off roys head clean. his chin wasnt ever really checked cause his opposition at light heavy weight was soft. he did some crazy **** to them cause he could. but if he fought someone like evander it wouldn't end well for roy

Holyfield turns Roy into a surfboard like Glen Johnson.

Holyfield at CW was a phenomenon, but by the difference with his speed, and Roy exceeds in that facet, let alone style, now would have to see how the beats of Roy afetarian Evander, and that pulling his putt if hurt would wear physically and psychologically.
I think Roy would win UD, but that the possibility that Holyfield KO him

Holyfields chin will break Jones' will. No chance at all.

One can think of Toney's whipping of Holyfield , but one can remind Toney's tough fight against Jirov and see Holyfield was not his prime self against Toney.
One can also think of Evander Holyfield as a bigger stronger combination of Hopkins (dirtiness) , Johnson (workrate) and Tarver (reach) and get where it leads Jones to.
If it was the Jones whom fought Ruiz against the Holyfield whom fought Qawi the second time I would have favored Holyfield by late stoppage , but he will get hurt himself and may even go down before finally stopping Jones.

I think this would be a great fight with RJJ winning a split decision.

I think RJJ had enough speed to stay a half step ahead of Holyfield the first half of the fight, with Holyfield coming on strong in the late rounds.

Holyfield would be too fast for Roy to be really effective against at that weight.

                      A stoppage is likely.
