if Tommy Morrison can outbox Foreman
Mike Tyson can too.
dont think Mike would knock him out though
Foreman was "put-a-fork-in-him" done when he faced Morrison. I do believe people are talking about the Foreman who fought Holyfield. BTW, Morrison fought Foreman stick and move on the outside: NOT a style that was in Tyson's arsenal.
So now the truth comes out! Princessmanz is a Tyson nuthugger and all this time his campaign of slagging off on fighters was all an effort to make Leg-Iron Mike look good by comparison :rofl9:

hahaha it all does make sense now! All that talk about Frazier's "weak chin" he was just trying to pull some excuse out of his vagina to convince himself that Tyson could take Frazier! hahahhaa
'88 wasn't his prime? Geez, pretty soon his "prime" will consist only of the Spinks fight. He certainly didn't look like a better fighter than Tucker for the first 4 rounds. Without the hand injury, Tucker would have outpointed him and exposed him as the fraud that he was.
Tyson back than was overrated no doubt, but I wouldnt go so far as to call him a fraud. As for Tucker's hand injury is there any independent evidence to corroborate his claim?
If he doesn't put Foreman away early, he's not putting him away at all. Tyson only KOd 4 fighters past the 6th round in his career. Foreman, on the other hand, had the power to knock out Moorer in the 10th and Pierre Coetzer in the 8th- and that was just in George's second coming.
I seriously doubt if that version of Foreman hit harder than Ruddock, it most probably goes the distance with Tyson winning by a close ud. Foreman was hurt a number of times against Holyfield and Tyson could **** a lot harder than Holyfield could.

He fought Smith and Tucker for 12 rounds and didn't have any knockout power in the late rounds. If he doesn't put Foreman away early, he's not putting him away at all. I said after 88, after spinks bout Tyson was never the same fighter. His skills eroided.
During the time of the event when he fought douglas, we said Tyson "yeah hes in his prime". But, now with secondary sources - being 2010 we can look back when things went wrong due to the power of the secondary source
Well fighters like Tyson sometimes need time to settel into a fiight, not meaning the oppponent is a lot better than them but occasionally it takes a few rounds to get in to the fight.
Tyson after around mid rounds didnt lose his punch power, thats like saying pacquiao turns orthodox in the middle of a fight because southpaw isnt working? yeah ****** dont you think.
Tyson just simply didnt go for KOs after 5 6 rounds when fighters ran on him or just held on to go the distance
Mike Tyson of 1987s KOs 1990s foreman under 6 rounds / Period
Tyson of the 80s vs foreman of 70s is something else at this moment but 1990s tyson vs foreman 1990s. Foreman was way to slow to beat even that Tyson. Post prison tyson would be in a mad slugfest with 92foreman, which ill favour probably foreman

You have said this before and it just isn't true. Here are the score cards of that fight (from boxrec)
Julio Roldan 118-113 | judge: Phil Newman 119-111 | judge: Bill Graham 117-112
Larry merchants score card was also 117-112. Tyson 8, Tucker 3 and one even.
Larry gave Tucker the first, third and last round. None of these score cards indicate tucker was the better fighter in the first 4 rounds.
As for punch stats - Tyson landed 52% and tucker 39%, Tyson also out jabbed tucker.
So where are your facts? How did you make the dubious assumption that Frazier requested his corner throw in the towel? Or did you basically just lie as usual?
because he retired on his stool and failed to come out for the final round of a heavyweight title fight.Usually when a fighter retires on his stool it's called quitting.Vitali Klitschko actually suffered an injury and when his corner threw in the towel it was claimed that Klitschko had quit.
A lesser fighter than either Ali or Frazier wouldn't have survived that long. See Tyson-Douglas for confirmation..
Ali didn't have the punching power that buster Douglas had.Douglas was in shape and wasn't dehydrated like Ali was.The dehydrated, light hitting Ali was still able to rock "Glass" Joe's china chin, though.
One great night doth not make a great fighter. Its much easier to look great when your opponent crumbles under adversity..
So Tyson's a little weakling now is he? Tyson had no idea what he was facing that night and Douglas produced arguably the single greatest performance in heavyweight history in dominating the greatest peak heavyweight of all time.
Douglas would have dominated frazier only frazier didn't have it in him to last as long as Tyson did.

You're an idiot.Just because I don't denigrate the man like you do on a regular basis doesn't make me so kind of nuthugger.

You claimed the stoppage was at Fraziers request even though Futch and himself deny this. If you have no proof you're just making **** up again. Typical.

Ali ko'd better fighters than Douglas and had a higher ko%. What is your argument that Buster was the better puncher?

I never called Tyson a "weakling". Fact is he crumbled under adversity when his opponents didn't lay down for him more times than not. And that was the greatest single performance AND Tyson was hardly "peak".
Douglas would have dominated frazier only frazier didn't have it in him to last as long as Tyson did.
Yeah, we saw how much heart Buster had in his very next fight after Tyson, didn't we?
You're an idiot.Just because I don't denigrate the man like you do on a regular basis doesn't make me so kind of nuthugger.
You put down a variety of fighters regularly so have no room to be talking about anybody else "denigrating" fighters.

I'm a realist, you're obviously not.I'm not making anything up.Of course futch and frazier are going to claim that he didn't quit.

It wasn't a case of crumbling when Tyson received the savage beating that he did against Douglas.Douglas never, ever gave him a chance to get into the fight.Tyson was in his prime and Douglas produced the single greatest performance of any heavyweight in history.

Well,Vitali Klitschko has something like the highest KO% of all time, and yet we all know he isn't even the greatest puncher in his own family.
You only have to watch Douglas and Ali fight to know who is the better puncher.

because he got knocked out by an excellent counter right hand from one of the greatest heavyweights of all time?
You're talking utter nonsense here.
And you think his "denigrating" of not only fighters, but other posters is perectly acceptable,do you?
He's the biggest troll on this entire forum.
Pointing out that ******s are ******ed isn't trolling. You're just butthurt because you're one of those "special" people that ride the shortbus to Boxing Scene everyday.
PS. Remind me to buy you another "kick me" sign as soon as they're back in stock :grin9:

So they say Joe had no quit in him and you say Joe "asked" his corner to throw the towel in.....who's more reliable?

I wouldn't agree with that.

Thats right. I've never seen Douglas drop anyone like Liston with a single shot.

Stop trying to make it sound like Mike was anywhere near the top of his game for that fight. we all know he trained on Japanese hookers and Saki.
because he got knocked out by an excellent counter right hand from one of the greatest heavyweights of all time?
He sat on his ass and WATCHED the ref (thru clear eyes) count him out.
You're talking utter nonsense here.
What I am doing is pointing out the facts and owning you as usual.
And you think his "denigrating" of not only fighters, but other posters is perfectly acceptable,do you?

Kid, nobody compares to you as a troll. That is the only thing you've ever won on these boards hands down.
