What is your opinion of Lennox Lewis?

Was he one of the greatest heavyweights of all time?

Was he overrated?

How does he go against the ATG's?

my opinion of Lennox Lewis is he was very well managed during his career so as to avoid facing fighters who was "at the top of their game", Lewis had decent boxing skills for a big man and also had some pop in his right-hand.. i rate Lennox at No14 on my heavyweight greats list, i think he is overated by some who make statements like that he is on a par with Joe Louis & Muhammad Ali, i tend to think of him as being on a par or just behind guys like Rid**** Bowe & Evander Holyfield.. its debatable at what stage of his career was he in his prime, i tend to think it was 94-98 which includes his KO loss to Oliver McCall

He rates behind Tyson and Holyfield for me, but in front of Rid**** Bowe. Bowe was probably better than all of them, but he wasted his career.

All these guys are ATG Heavyweights regardless however.

I actually think he had a pretty good chin, too - the shots that KO-d him would've stopped almost anybody, IMO.

I'd rate him top 10 all time.

if only holyfield had beaten bowe the first fight then he was due to fight lewis and we know he would of unlike bowe because that holyfield beats lewis rather cosily IMO and lewis resume would look diffirent ,lewis had a great jab hard right and nice speed he was also ok on defence due to his wlad cautios approach sometimes,hes the calzaghe of the heavyweight division fought his best opponents when they where clearly no where near their peak and he was.
strange because when the roles where reversed against vitali he sneaked a win on injures and didnt want a rematch.

I have him as a top ten ATG heavyweight, but the bottom half.

Excellent fighter, who sadly often comes up second in head to head fantasy matches with big punchers, due to the fact that both of his losses were one punch KOs to less than ATG opposition.
