i think Mayweather is faster and more techincally profound than Robinson..

Robinsons defence was his footmovement and headmovement, he countered well too but he got hit alot. Mayweather rarely got hit clean.

Mayweather honestly is just out of this world

90% of the guys SRR fought were not conditioned athletes. They were broke bus boys and hotel doormen.

He's known for the greatness he portrayed in the ring that we can visually see, just like Floyd. Floyd doesn't have to find Doc Brown, go back in time and beat Jake LaMotta for me to know that he would have no problem dealing that guy over and over.

Almost untouchable.....skills wise of course. He got hit more often then I'd like.

Never seen much Robinson I'm guessing ?, he didn't use much head movement and he didn't get hit "a lot".
Floyd is not faster then Robinson.

Mayweather in no way is beating LaMotta, out of most of the boxers back then LaMotta is probably the worst for Mayweather. He's going to walk through everything May can throw and pressure him for the whole fight.

                Nightmare for Floyd ......

I don't see many, if any, welterweights beating him. He was a terror at middleweight also, taking on a strong group of challengers while past his physical prime. His skills were polished through the experience of hundreds of fights, although he was more so an offensive fighter than a defensive artist, looking for opportunities to score a knockout with each punch thrown. He was fast and had one punch KO power in both hands and was a great finisher when he had his man hurt due to his pin-point accurate combinations which always seemed to find his opponent's chin.

He had the heart of a true champion as well, even up to 45 years of age he lasted the distance.

He made Maxim look bad, but Maxim was a good boxer, see for example Maxim's fights against Bob Murphy and Freddie Mills which are also on youtube.

                  Thanks TheGreatA.

You do know that more than 100 of his fights were against opponents who were at one point rated in the top 10?
