I would like to see all of these moments where Foreman issued challenges to Tyson. I for one don't remember George doing this as often as the writer is claiming. I still have Foreman's career on dvd so I could check out some of those later post fight interviews, however I wouldn't know which ones I should check out.

Let's get off this and back on topic of if they both met in their primes.
Do you think that Tyson could stand and trade with Foreman ?, because that's all it really boils down too if they would of met in their prime, Foreman had a much better chin then say Tucker and Smith who went the distance with prime Tyson, what makes you think that if Tyson somehow took Foremans shots he would finish Foreman within the distance ?.
But lets remind on Foremans' record : he could not stop Roberto Davila over 8 , and Levi Forte over 10.
You say he had a better chin than Tucker , I really doubt it.
A young Tucker in his prime and later went the distance with proven big men destroyers like Tyson , McCall and Lewis and then he stopped James Douglas and then a few other big men.
Foreman was down against Lyle , KO'd by Ali , and the worst of them all , KD'd by Jimmy Young.
Tucker was 37 the first time he was stopped and it was due to swelling , he was 39 the first time he was really stopped , and it was by a proven puncher whom was 13 years younger than himself.
In addition Tucker used drugs during his life which further damaged his condition in addition to his age and accumulated ring damage.
It is in doubt that Foreman had a better chin than Tucker.
And lets remind on the fighters Tyson did stop :
Michael Spinks (the only to stop him) , Larry Holmes (the only to stop him , and later he went the distance with Holyfield , McCall , Lewis , Butterbean , repeated his stoppage wins over James Smith and Mike Weaver whom both were also younger than him , and then some more)
, and then some more as you know.
I know that Larry Holmes was removed from his prime but I mentioned his post Tyson achievements .
Tyson could evade Foreman's punches better than Foreman could evade his. Tucker and Smith survived Tyson firstly by fighting very defensively and secondly by being much bigger than Tyson.
Foreman lacked the first , I doubt if there is anyone who assumes Foreman would have tried to just survive Tyson , you probably assume he will try to stop Tyson. And when he tries , he misses and gets hit back. And if he lands a few punches by accident , Tyson had the chin to take a few of them , Even Frazier was not done by one punch.
I am not trying to claim it is impossible a prime Foreman would have stopped a prime Tyson , but in most cases Tyson would have stopped him. Tyson was simply stronger than Frazier and he could take punches better. Again , Frazier was downed by Bonavena twice as well.
Do you assume that in a 3 fight series Tyson would have gone down against Bonavena ? that's the best way of emphasizing the difference between these 2.

was a good read but I guess we just have clear different opinions on their styles, I disagree that Tyson would be able to avoid Foremans punches easier then Foreman would Tysons just because of how Foremans swings and loops his punches and the size / reach distance.
The only way that anyone avoided his punches were by footwork and staying back.
No, Tyson wouldn't of gone down against Bonavena.
Thanks for telling about Tucker, haven't seen too much of him apart from his later fights and just assumed his chin was pretty good but no Foreman, dumb assumption I guess, should of looked more into him before saying.

And I am not trying to claim Tucker's chin was better than Foreman's as I don't know , but I do believe their chins were about the same level , and I do not want to state whose was better.
And reminding Bonavena puts Foreman's performance against Frazier in perspective. And again , I know Foreman was one of the hardest hitters in HW history , but Tyson's power is just about the same.
Tyson's dry weight is almost as high as Foreman's actually , in their primes , they weighed almost the same , and since Foreman had arguably more bone tissue than Tyson , just guess who had more muscle tissue.
