Good post!... Zero fights at 175, zero fights at 168, 3 fights at 160 and 2 fights at 154 doesn't do top 20 for me.. He's just about a 3 weight world champ with less defenses than any of his peers.. Starving opponents just to meet his catch-weight demands is not an option for an ATG..

Since when did a top ten ATG make all the decisions? ie:

The fight's off unless I choose the ring size
The fight's off unless I choose the gloves
The fights's off unless I choose the weight

Unbelievable how he got away with all this ****, and after 40 fights he's mooted as a top 10 of all time and a 5 weight world champ... Lol, I don't think so..
No25 is about right for Cotton Wool Ray Leonard..

Isn't that how many of the top fighters are though? I mean just thinking in today's terms the arguably top P4P fighter has done the same thing hopping from division to division forcing fighter's to fight either over or under their true fighting weight and with his own rules and stipulations added to it for a kicker only to jump divisions after a few fights instead of cleaning them out.
I think all of the top boxers due this too a certain extent. Now I can't say I blame them for doing it because I'll admit I'd do the exact same thing in their shoes.

Absolutely, but you would also be effecting your ATG status when being compared to many of those who were not given these options.. Or sould i say, "God given right to change the rules"

What's you're take on Pacquiao winning the Welterweight Championship by forcing the Welterweight Champion to place his belt on the line at 145???

In a word - 'Wrong' - But not as bad as Lalonde having to fight at 168 from 175 when HE was the defending champion.. Leonard wasn't so sugary when the boot was placed on the other foot, when he was forced to meet Terry Norris at 154..

How can a fighter that beat many all time greats be not a ATG? This isn't a popularity question it's a ring accomplishments question.
