Maybe top 50 ATG. Great fighter who should have pushed himself more to fight other great fighters.

I believe he was a very good fighter but not all time great by any stretch of the imagination.

I'd have Calzaghe probably cracking the top 100 ATG. Hurt by not becoming undisputed until very late in his career, and retiring soon after moving to LHW, despite seemingly still near the top of his game.

Greatest SMW of all time, but that is a fairly new division and often just a stepping stone for other greater fighters like Roy Jones Jr and James Toney on their way to LHW.

Yeah, I'd have him 60-40 range, purely skills-wise. His resume isn't as awful as people make it seem - Hopkins and Kessler are good wins - but it's nowhere near ATG status. So I'm just talking pure boxing ability, he was good.

He had an awkward style, very good hand speed, work rate and reflexes that would make him a difficult fight for anyone. He just tended to fight down to his opposition and his best wins came after his physical peak.

I do think he relied too much on physical ability to be able to do much damage if he chooses to come back at 38/39. He's likely to lose to the super 6 winner or Bute at this stage. Probably Froch would be his best bet, but he should take a tune up first.
