At 135 Pac was still not the complete offensive fighter he has become and Duran would beat him. I'd say by decision, I think Pac has a pretty damn good chin.

I pick duran by decision although a knockout win wouldnt come as a surprise

Their isnt a fighter in history id pick over duran at 135.Whitaker is a guy who would give him a lot of problems but i think Duran would grind out a decision especially if the fight was a 15 rounder

Agreed. Also, if the Duran who fought Leonard the first time faces Pacquiao at Welterweight then that's a Duran victory as well.

Thing to take into account here is Pacquiao has never fought a fighter as good as Duran but Duran has fought a few fighters who could compare to Pac. If Pac fights Mayweather then it would be an interesting thread to revisit.

Oooh, ok. I didn't think that a History forum poster would say that Duran was faster. However, I don't think that the Pac who fought Cotto is getting knocked out. He was a whirlwind in that fight. He invited Cotto to hit him on the ropes because he knew he could take Miguel's best punch - he wouldn't pull that **** with a brawler like Duran.

if pac was so self confident, he would have fought floyd in march, imo that was clearly a duck.
if he should ever face floyd and beat him, i would say he is one the same level as duran.
but i doubt it will ever happen, floyd is mentally too strong and the better boxer of the two, thats why i dont see an outcome like in leonard vs duran 1.
pac is gonna look very ordinary against floyd, especially after the first 3-4 rounds floyd will takeover and dominate the fight.

Yep no doubt, pacquiao wouldnt be able to resist a brawl and would get ripped to pieces in the process
