Says who? Hell, whether the WBO counted was debated until the middle of the last decade. How, and who, recognizes champs has changed many times in boxing. Lineage has a valid measurement was somewhat abandoned in the 90s but it's regularly noted now.

Manny was the lineal champion in four classes.

He claimed an alphabelt title in five.

Those accomplishments were across seven weight classes.

    Done.

give the lil man credit....hatton fight was for the ring 140 belt but no one really thought he was the best at 140....winning a belt doesnt neccessarily make you the best at the weight, just one of the top dogs....either way in this day and age winning 7 major belts (ring included) is an accomplishment....

Seems like we're a bit behind lol

Many thanks for all the responses.. I was looking to learn something from this thread, and I have..

For starters, not being a subscriber, I wasn't fully aware of how seriously The Ring Mags belts are taken these days.. I've also recognized that a lot of you guys take lineal championships quite seriously too.. Fair play!,, But it can get a bit confusing at times..
However, if it's the best vs the best i've got no quarrel with it..

If guys are boiling themselves down to face him, that's their problem.. Pacquiao may have been blessed as a late developer (physically) and he may be catching these guys just at the right time, but i think, he's also ending their careers.. I won't get into the row of where he should be rated until he hangs em up, and it's out of him and PBF who gets the top 5 ATG spot..

Micky i agree with you.. Pacquiao is fighting the universally recognised best in the division, he fought Hatton because Hatton thought to be the best in the 140lb division and had never been beaten at that weight and like you say, Pacquiao is ending these guys careers, which is a measure of his superiority over them, i only hope Pacquiao & Floyd can get it on later this year for the sake of Boxing.
