Jones and Hopkins in this era?

Maybe. But i don't see any MW of this era would be a threat to MW RJJ.

Michael Nunn would have little trouble taking care of Bernard Hopkins

yes he is the best ever at beating southpaws, but i dont see Nunn v Hopkins being about that, i see Nunn beating BHop by wide decision, Nunn had very good compossier and would not get drawn into a rought fight with Hopkins.. The Michael Nunn who James Toney beat was heavy into substance abuse.

I would pick Nunn over Hopkins.

At his best he probably has a better chance of beating Roy than anyone else from that time period, though I would favour Jones Jr by decision.

Nunn was so on and off. At his best, absolutely. He could have beaten most guys. Toss up between him and Jones. Would have to see how Jones handled a super speedy, defensively great southpaw as big as Nunn and as skilled. Would be a very hard fight for Jones.

I could also see both guys beating him too. On his best night Nunn could have beaten anyone and been a very, very hard fight for anyone too.

That is exactly what Nunn did not have imo, he was inclined to take his eye off the ball before he had teh fight under control and he fought with emotion, he is a prime target for someone like Hopkins to rough up and hit illegally and get drawn out of his game plan imo.

My biggest criticism of Nunn would be that he had the talent but that he did not have it upstairs.

Toney wore him down...Nunn was well ahead on the cards before the Ko...............But the bigger threat to Hopkins and Jones is the G-Man Gerald McClellan.........

Agreed.. He's made to order for Hopkins.. RJJ beats him too, but in a great boxing match..
