I think Nunn could of beaten Hopkins, in a fight where Bhop isnt allowed to use his roughouse tactics. A fight with Jones would be 50-50 and could go either way

I agree with your G-man comment as well

B-hop was undefeated against lefties till the Calzaghe fight and that was a close fight. Roy Jones was a talent by himself. Nunn would had given a competitive match to either

Ive seen Bhops fight with Holmes and Calzaghe and both were roughouse mauling affairs. Has he ever won a fight just boxing?

He has a high boxing IQ and gets away with alot. Never said that I enjoy watching him fight, I don't like his style. But do watch him agains Joe Lipsey and John David Jackson. He was much more aggressive and shows his skill level against lefties

Nunn in top form was a legitimate threat to anybody but he wasn't the same fighter by the time Jones and Hopkins came along. He may have still bothered them with his combination of height & reach, speed and the southpaw style.

My biggest criticism of Nunn would be that he had the talent but that he did not have it upstairs.
Agreed. I find it difficult to come up with too many examples of Nunn fighting the perfect fight, outside of the Frank Tate fight perhaps. He caught Kalambay early so we don't know how that fight would have went. Against Roldan, Barkley, Toney, Nunn got into unnecessary punching exchanges despite his great height and reach advantage although he could still put the hurting on his opponents with his body punching and uppercuts. Still, he did not make the best out of his physical advantages. Hopkins vs Nunn would be a rough fight I imagine.

We are assuming Nunn is in his prime.
