The great Sam Langford knocked out heavyweights, while weighing as much as Fitzsimmons' did, too. A lot more quality heavyweights, actually. His resume also trumps Fitzsimmons'.
Langford is also generally rated as the better puncher.
And yes, a fighter is supposed to know the vital parts of the body. He's a fighter.
If you're not gonna give a more detailed reason as to why he's greater, but just say "no, he's greater", it makes your argument look very weak.
knowing all the vital parts of the human body and striking them with great accuarcy
he is a great fighter...
Let's talk about skills ?.
Noone was going to stand toe-to-toe with Homicide Hank, the man was a physical freak, fast hard hitting accurate hands which shot from all angles.
He was a very elusive boxer who fought out of a crouched stance to make himself a smaller target, he put relentless pressure on all styles of boxers which he fought against and could box at a great pace for 15 rounds.
He was a master of cutting off the ring and could box just as well as he could on the inside then he could outside, he also shown his ability to take boxers of varied styles and always make them fight his fight.
He held titles in 3 weight classes (Robbed of his 4th) simultaneously destroying contenders in all.
Let's hear about Fitzsimmons skill set and what makes him "a lot" better then Homicide Hank, don't just say that he had crazy power and knew the vital parts of the body, a boxer of his calibre is expected to know that.
Haven't seen much of Bob Fitzsimmons (If there is much footage) and haven't read up too much on how he fought, can someone who has good knowledge of Fitzsimmons enlighten me please, he was obviously an amazing boxer who was unmatched but the only thing I really know about him is his achievements and from word of historian who have spoke of what he did.
