No need to bust a gasket kid, just be more careful with the stuff ya spout next time, you'll be fine.
No, because he fought in a real division, not a super lw, or jr ww.

"Moving up the ranks?" How long do you have to move up the ranks? By 2001 he had like 30 W's under his belt with 0 losses.

So you're comparing Ricky Hatton to the Great Marvin Haggler, and I'm spewing garbage?

If you need him to be great in your mind that's fine, but you don't need to try and justify him staying in a phony division for his entire career and never fighting ANYBODY. Period. He fought NOBODY, but an old Kostya at the end of his career, and still went 11 rounds. I actually just watched that fight about 2 weeks ago and IMO Kostya still had a chance to KO Ricky.

How long do you "work your way through the ranks?" You keep saying he was working his way through the ranks, but he never moved out of it even after he did. Everything you're saying, whether you like it or not, is more and more of a testament to his lack of greatness.

Guys who are great take title shots when they have 20-25 wins and they're undefeated, but hey, those are greats - Not the likes of Ricky Hatton.

He chose to fight nobody after nobody in his phony division, and when he fought real contenders, he was DESTROYED.

Guys this is history, you can't change it as much as you'd like to.

Where you live I'm sure you can get Ricky Hatton lifesize cutouts on every street corner. You can buy one and worship it as you see fit but the fact remains this:

      He fought nobody's.
His face was pancaked by nobody's.
He beat an old end of career Kostya.
He was DESTROYED by real contenders.

That's the career of Ricky Hatton, and how it will be remembered by everybody in the world - of course outside of the UK and other European's that put any non-American fighter on a pedestal because they feel they have to for whatever reason.

Admit it guys, if he was an American fighter nobody would give a **** about him, but on the flipside, if he were an American fighter, he would have fought real competition and would not have been undefeated by fighting weak European opposition.

I'm really sorry, guys, I know how upset this makes you.

The word Greatness has no place in the same sentence as "Ricky Hatton."

The IBOF is all about popularity not greatness so I wouldn't be shocked if Hatton gets in. Gatti's a lock for induction as he still has a very large vocal fan-base. Wait a few years and if Hatton's fans are still noisy then he'll have a good shot.

I like seeing a great fight as much as the next guy, but TBH with you, watching Ricky Hatton was painful for me. The punishment he took was terrible, and as much as I love boxing, I hate to see a guy get his face smashed in, even though he would win those fights, he took such brutal beatings that sometimes you had to look away.

Mayweather and Manny are top 10 ATGs?

Have you found a way to justify this post yet?

How Hatton was garbage because he didn't fight these three guys who were fighting at 154 in 2003?

No one is calling Hatton an ATG, and it's arguable that he'll even make it into the HOF. But for you to sit here and call his whole career garbage is just a bit pathetic, to say the least. 4 time world titlist in 2 weight classes (could've added a 5th if Malignaggi hadn't recently been stripped,) beat Kostya Tszyu while he was #2 p4p.

Quite an overachiever for a guy with a 20" reach, armpit to fist.
