Why hasn't Earnie Shavers been inducted into the BHOF?

    I don't think Shavers should get in. He lacks a lot of good wins and lost most his important fights.

    He'll be remembered as an amazing puncher. But he shouldn't be a HOFer.

      Yes, Poet, there are, but how many were Ward better than? He's not better than Mancini or Curry, and they are not in. If Ward gets elected, it would be like inducting Allan Houston in the Basketball Hall of Fame or Fred Patek in the baseball Hall of fame.

          Sure he does, he came milimeters from beating the "greatest" which was for the undisputed and linear heavyweight title. He was just as close in winning the WBC title from Holmes. In time when with fighters that held a portion of titles can get in, his accomplishments rank high.
