    I'll start with Pittsburgh.

    1. Harry Greb
    2. Billy Conn
    3. Charley Burley

No doubt in my mind Greb is the greatest fighter this city ever produced, but I am really up in the air about Conn and Burley. I rate both very high all time and give a slight edge to Conn based on my opinion he would win a close head to head fight at their respective best.

Feel free to debate this and name some cities and fighters of your own.

        Cleveland, Ohio
        Joey Maxim
        Lloyd Marshall
        Jimmy Bivins
        Johnny Kilbane

I can't decide what three to pick.

        Buffalo, NY
        Jimmy Slattery
        Rocky Kansas
        Tommy Paul

To be honest I have never seen any of these Buffalo guys above and don’t know a ton about them. Most of the old fighters/trainers in the area regard them along with George Nichols as the best fighter's from the city and it's never questioned so I'll keep parroting what I have heard since I was a little kid.

All the guys I put in bold were excellent fighters. Can't say I know of Tommy Paul though.

I guess I should clarify that a bit. I have seen Maxim, Marshall and Bivins. I haven't seen any videos of the Buffalo fighter's though, all I have to rely on about them is stories from old-timers from the gyms I have been to.

I haven't seen Slattery or Kansas fight, but if you do a little research and go over their records (as well as old time testimony) you can get an idea just who good they were. Im almost positive both are in the IBHOF.

Can someone explain to me how Bivins never received a shot at the Heavyweight title or Light Heavyweight title? I remember an article in Ring magazine proclaiming him the unofficial champ when Louis was at war, and he beat Ezzard Charles, Lloyd marshall and Archie Moore, yet no title shots. Unbelievable!!!!!!!
