The Mark Wills vs Greg Page fight is not on Youtube, so you cant watch it on there, the only way to watch it is if you have the fight in your collection or watched it on TV at the time it was aired... i am sure that their is one or two members who can verify this for me in that the ending was nothing remotely like you described it, in fact you could not be further from the truth.....Let me describe the finnish for you because i happen to have that fight in my collection:

Page turned up in terrible state weighing over 240lbs against the hard-hitting gym rat Mark Wills who was in very good shape, the fight was a "Slugfest" from the opening bell with Wills decking Page at the end of the opening round, Page recovered to floor Wills with a big left-hook in the 2nd round, the action ebbed and flowed throughout the first 8rds in the 9th round Page trudged forwards towards Wills.. Wills took 3 quick steps forwards and let go the most devastating right-hand bomb you could ever wish to see, it hit Page right on the button, lifting all 240lbs of him off the canvas and launching him 7 or 8ft across the ring on his back, Page rose to his feet at the count of 9 with blood pouring from a cut over his right eye, the bell saved Page and as he sat in his corner he started argueing with his trainer saying,"this ain't a fight. This is just training!" and electing not to come out for the final round..... Mickey if you had seen that fight mate, you would never forget that punch that Wills wacked Page with... in watching over 20,000+ fights i have never seen a punch as devastating which lifts a 240lb man off his feet and launches him, and you would never forget it also.

Greg Page (October 25, 1958 – April 27, 2009)[1] was an American boxer. He was the World Boxing Association Heavyweight champion from 1984 to 1985. His professional record after his retirement in 2001 was 58-17-1 with 48 Knockouts.

In June 1986, Page competed in a California state heavyweight tournament. He showed up horribly out of shape at 242 pounds to tackle the dangerous Mark Wills,
a hard hitting gym rat who had given Witherspoon a torrid fight. Page, completely ill prepared, was dragged into a slugfest. Dropped by a barrage in the first round, he recovered to deck Wills with a short left hook in the second. At the end of 9 rounds Wills cut Page and knocked him down whilst he was clowning. This led to the surreal image of Page sitting on his stool, arguing with his trainer "this ain't a fight. This is just training!" and electing not to come out for the final round.

Sonny, i don't have access to a vast fight library as you do, and if i did, i wouldn't be smug enough to state 'what colour shorts' they were wearing etc to someone who is completely relying on memory..
I'm saying, that certain fights that are clear in your mind, will rarely be in others.. Sure, i remembered there was a KD, but not as vividly and in the same dramatic fashion that you do.. I knew it was the 9th round because, 'hands up,' i consulted boxrec on that one.. I also knew there were other KD's in the fight, but could not remember by who, and what rounds they came in, and i vaguely remember a comical end to the fight, but thought it was Wills as opposed to Page..
I don't doubt you do have the fight, so why the need to consult Wikipedia?
I'm not knocking it; but please stop childishly thinking you have all the aces & trying to 'catch me out' as it doesn't wear.

I think you are both right and wrong. Page fought Mark Wills two times and was stopped both times. Once after quitting on his stool due to cuts and the second time after being pole-axed with a big right hand haymaker. Page turned up in horrible shape and lost to a mediocre fighter at best.

In the first fight he clowned and was hit with an uppercut which made him bite his tongue. This led to him retiring on his stool.

Well done GreatA; Priceless info as always..

Have to admit to never seeing the second fight which explains a lot really..
So i wonder why Sonnyboy never said it was the 6th round where Page was sent into orbit.. This despite having it 'right infront of him' beggars belief!

          W H O O P S! a daisy

So the ultimate 'FILMANOLOGIST' has BOTH fights right infront of him; lol oh lol oh ***in lol.. 'God bless mother nature!'

And i take it, this is despite the fact that you were 'NEVER' aware that there'd ever even been 'TWO' fights in the 1st place!... Well, TBH, neither was i, but at least i had the decency to admit it..
But, EVEN NOW, this appears to be a 'bridge too far' for your good-self ?

Sonny; I'd suggest, you Just log off, and put your head in your hands... You've been exposed more than a peeled cucumber...

How in 'Gods name' can you honestly, even attempt, to defend factually incorrect info? (amateur-dramatic) bull****: on the strength of a 'Marvel Comic' bogus film collection?

Yes, you remembered the punch alright; Just a shame about everything else..

          1. If I had your alleged film collection, i'd be ***in Einstein!
          2. If your brains were made of TNT, there wouldn't be enough to blow ya hat into the Derwent..

Sonny,,, Shape up, or ship out!.... You know it makes sense

i knew they had 2 fights i was unsure of which fight it was that Wills launched Page

Which is a blatant lie, and exactly what led to you making a complete fool of yourself in the first place..

its also very obvious that i have seen the fight otherwise i would never have mentioned
                    the punch.

You've seen the 2nd fight (1990) only, but you never knew about the 1st fight (1986).. I have already admitted to not knowing about the 1990 fight in my earlier post to GreatA.. The post that cleared all of this up, the post that you didn't reply to, because it was the post that exposed you as a lying fantacist..
The real truth is, you did exactly the same as me.. (***!... I never knew they had 2 fights!).. But NO, you were far too embroiled in your own smug superiority, to admit it..

I had already described the 1st fight fairly accurately from memory, only for you to make a false attempt to discredit me, by saying that you had 'caught me out' telling 'Porkies.' - Now why would you do that?
The answer is very simple.. You Didn't Know About The 1986 Fight!!!!
You then made yourself look a prize one **** by coming out with this

the action ebbed and flowed throughout the first 8rds in the 9th round Page trudged forwards towards Wills..

This despite the fact, the fight was all over by the
6th Round.. But you shamelessly concluded the 9th by copying information from Wikipedea on the Wrong fight you clown..

Sonny, If you were not a liar, you would have said Wills Page I or Wills Page II right from the very start, but you did not.. So i'm afraid this irreversably, confirms you as not a particularly smart deceiver..
And laughably, you now have the nerve to come out with this..

so from now on you can never be taken seriously because you are dishonest, you are dishonest because you resort to telling lies to try to prove that you are correct... but i caught you out, and its there for everyone to see that i caught you out....

You've caught yourself out Sonnyboy.. Look, here's another outrageous lie that you came out with, after the clarifying post from GreatA..

i have both fights right in front of me in my collection.. i mentioned this fight in the hardest one-punch KO thread which i started a week or so ago..

No Sonnyboy, you have the 1990 fight only..

Anyway, here's my favourite Sonnyboy quote of all time

But never ever again Micky should you question my knowledge of the sport of boxing, i speak with honesty not dishonesty..

                    Priceless!
