So here we are. The year is 2025 and Boxing Scene has jumped yet another shark. The man who has almost universally been regarded by practically every boxing mind who matters (except for Hank Kaplan the crank) as a top-2 all-time (and not infrequently number 1) heavyweight has been so devalued on Boxing Scene that he's seen as incapable of beating an all-time great heavyweight opponent. Just fuc king unreal. I give up. I'll never take anything anyone says on here about boxing seriously ever again.

I didn't know you ever had. I agree with others that Louis is a tad overrated. Ali fought 4 fighters who IMO have better than even chances to beat Joe Louis--Frazier, Foreman, Liston, Holmes, with Jimmy Young retaining excellent chances, and Chuvalo with some chance, although personally I would predict Louis to be the first man to cold the Canadian. Louis can make every punch hard and throw them rapidly. Most of the guys he could not beat are found on Ali's record.

Louis had a very weak chin. I think Dempsey had the power and ferocity to stop Louis early or beat him to a bloody pulp. He was just more of a man than Louis and physically much more durable.

In agree 100 percent. Particularly with Dempsey's era. Ali wouldn't have stood a chance and would have been beaten to a pulp with all that running he did.
