This has probably been discussed to death. However it still intrigues me. I find it hard to pick a winner in 91. For me it would either have been Tyson in 8 rounds or Holyfield on points.

Mike Tyson in 1991 was an emotional wreck being handled by incompetent seconds and an evil promoter.

Why would you think Mike Tyson would appear for a Holyfield fight any more prepared than he was for Douglas.

Are you actually asking: What if Tyson-Holyfield happened before Holyfield juiced?

I think Holyfield wins. He was never one to back down from a fight and he was faster and more fleet of foot in '91 compared to when they did fight. And as you pointed out Tyson was a wreck. Had this been the version of Tyson that fought Spinks or Holmes we have a different argument.

I think Holyfield takes him to deep waters, and drowns Tyson kind of like what happened in the first fight.

          - - Field weren't ready for Tyson then in 1991. He beat an overweight prediabetic syndrome Buster in 1990 and got beat up badly by Big George and Buster Douglas though he pulled out the wins.

Meanwhile Tyson had 3 consecutive KOs vs undefeated Olympic Gold Henry Tillman, Alex Stewart, Razor Rudduck before beating up Razor in the rematch, so clearly the team had a handle on his meds instead of being drugged into a zombie state for Douglas before King swindled him into prison so he could lift Mike $50 mil retirement Insurance fund.

Just an fyi, Tyson was always an emotional wreck(And he certainly would be when Evander isn't intimidated by him) and he didn't juice any less than Holyfield ever did.

Any version of Holyfield beats any version of Tyson.

Sure Queenie. You must be to drunk already. "n 1990 and got beat up badly by Big George and Buster Douglas though he pulled out the wins." That wasn't you who said this?

Bert Cooper very nearly stopped Holyfield and i think if it had been Tyson in there he'd have finished him off. I lean to Tyson to win in 91.
