The irony of Floyd and his fans for wrongly accusing Manny of doping only for Floyd to be caught with an illegal IV on the eve of the biggest fight of his career. And then being granted an exception two weeks after the fight. Manny was right not to trust USADA.

Floyd made a career of fighting opponents on their way up or down in weight and prime. Never fought an elite level opponent at their best. How do you brag and call yourself TBE while insisting your opponents were all basic B level fighters? Floyd ushered in the new generation of fighters afraid to risk their zero in the loss column by cherry picking and ducking. My take, he didn't duck the opponents he just ducked actually fighting them.

I definitely blame Pacquiao more for their fight happening late. Freddie Roach admit that the fight not coming off the first time was their side's fault. It was clear to see that it was. Both sides could have agreed to a 14 day cut-off for drug testing, especially considering the final agreement was a zero day cut-off.

At various times Pacquiao's team made decisions they knew would delay the fight. I'll give one example below.

What I really think happened was simple: Arum was unsure of Pacquiao being able to beat Mayweather, so he tried to get in all the money that he could with Pac and avoid the gravy train being derailed by an L. Pacquiao agreed to go along with what Arum wanted.

Manny Pacquiao’s promoter said Monday that the Filipino superstar prefers a fourth fight against Juan Manuel Marquez to a super-fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr.

“That fight [Mayweather] can still be there for us in November [2012],” Bob Arum told The Times.

That position brought a strong reaction from rival promoter and former fighter Oscar De La Hoya, who helps promote Mayweather and said the 42-0 welterweight champion has already reserved May 5 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas for boxing’s dream fight.

“I say to Manny, fighter to fighter, ‘Step it up, tell Arum what you want,’ ” De La Hoya said. “You’re the fighter. You’re a congressman. You call the shots here and decide who you’re going to fight.”

De La Hoya said he’s confident Mayweather wants the mega-bout. De La Hoya said he has spoken to Mayweather’s advisor and manager, Al Haymon, and received further assurance.

However, Arum said Pacquiao agrees his narrow and controversial majority decision over Marquez on Saturday at the MGM Grand “did not have the finish he wanted.” That, he added, justified a fourth fight between the combatants.

“We know who doesn’t want the big fight now,” De La Hoya said. “And his name is Bob Arum.”

I also thought he had some good fights at Welter (+). I don't find anything wrong with a tactical fight. I thought the Cotto fight was really good. The Mosley fight was good. The Judah fight. Marquez fight. Gatti. I think these fights were enjoyable. Maybe not if you wanted him to lose.

The Pacquiao fight was pretty dull. He showed an accurate straight right, good use of the check-hook, and just exposed Pacquiaio's inability to cut off the ring. Tied him up when he got too close. It was smart for him to fight the way he did. I certainly wouldn't argue that he should fight in a crowd pleasing way and risk taking an L and losing money because his haters want to be entertained, especially with how dangerous it is getting hit in the head for a living.

He only ducked Amir Khan X2 at the peak of Khan's powers. Only Khan could solve the puzzle of TBE Mayweather. If Charlie Zelenoff was not so sidetracked by his very real relationship with Kim Kardashian at the time, he's another one who could have beat Mayweather, he did beat Wilder after all, despite the weight difference. It's odd how you believe he ducked P.Will, whom, after he retired, said that Mayweather didn't duck him.

Yet your argument for why Dempsey didn't duck Wills, is that after Wills retired, he said that it wasn't Dempsey's fault.

Arum say whatever is convenient to make the fight he wants in the moment subject to instant change.
