Liston was the perfect heavyweight in my opinion in terms of build and ability.

And he would weigh about 235 today.

He also would have a lot of potential in MMA. I can't even imagine the damage he would do with the small gloves and adding elbows, knees, kicks etc. considering his bone density, and he was already an extremely powerful and unusually skilled grappler as a boxer, if he trained his greco roman wrestling more he would control any opponent and it would be almost impossible to take him down with his strong base and long arms, he would stuff any takedown and make them pay as his fists would reach them as they moved away.

But that's a different discussion. Like I said I always found him a genetic marvel.

This isn’t true at all. Patterson is one of my least favourite heavyweights lol. Liston isn’t just bigger than Patterson he’s also better.
