Foreman is a far superior fighter to Ali, he destroyed every opponent Ali had wars with.
However, Foreman was caught of guard by Alis hand speed, and I feel these would bother him no matter what strategy.
The problem for Foreman is that his power is going to put Ali away, so how does he win if he is constantly second to the punch
One of the first lessons any new boxing fans learns is that styles make fights and the first example they are all given is the Ali-Foreman-Frazier fights.
The fact that you skipped right past lesson #1 or was unable to comprehend it is astonishing.
Foreman is not a superior fighter to Ali. As a huge Foreman fan myself, Ali was by far superior in ability and resume.
The main problem Anti-Ali folks have when they claim Foreman just lost because of the rope a dope, is they don't want you to really watch the fight closely because then you realize that when there was no clinching on the ropes and they opened up and fought from mid or long range, Ali was schooling big George and was the vastly superior boxer beating him to the punch and making him look very bad.
Foreman is not beating Ali unless it is the tragic older, Parkinson suffering Ali.
Lmao.....here comes the conspiracy theories again!!
- - No conspiracy. Seconds into the fight George Plimpton at press ringside screams out the fight is fixed because of the way Foreman is moving in slomo.
First time I saw the fight I had the immediate specific reaction that George had been drugged, and lo and behold George in his autobio said after undergoing Sadler's usual 48 hour dehydration regimen that he unexpectedly offered George a small bottle of water. George started chugging and then immediately spit out the rest because it was clearly contaminated.
I can't help that U in your BarneyBigBoys still live in a Tinkerbell universe....

That's your proof?
George said he made everything up because he couldn't stand the shame of losing. Sorry but I'll take his word over your conspiracy theory.

- - George sometimes contradicts himself after the fact when it's in his best interest to be magnanimous, but the fact remains he immediately fired Sadler and Moore and got a new trainer and still Ali ducked the rematch.
Where wuz U dummyness when Bundini enters the Zaire ring prefight toting 3 liter White Bottles of what looks like French Champagne but obviously something else?
What, U still bawling about Pryor's Black Bottle in the first Arguello fight that played zero role in the outcome?
