Fierce rivalries

Post some of your best, most fierce and favorite rivalries.

We've talked Ali-Frazier, Ward-Gatti to death. Give me some great rivalries that arent well known and or forgotten about.

I'll start with Rafael Marquez vs Israel Vasquez What a great and evenly matched rivalry. These guys fought 4 wars splitting wins 2-2. Great skills and action. I turned into a big Vasquez fan because of these fights and have to wonder how he hasn't gotten in the HOF yet. Terrific rivalry!!

Jones Jr and Tarver. The first fight is pretty good and many argued Tarver had won. By the time the rematch was signed things really heated up. Traver was so hilarious in the build up and the eventual KO was shocking to say the least for those who had grown up on HBOs hype of Jones. The 3rd fight is meh but it's a solid modern rivalry.

Let's also not forget two great fights between Froch and Groves...people forget the rematch, and no joke about Froch here but it was two super-middleweights selling out an 80-90k capacity stadium, in the capital. These guys rejuvenated interest in British boxing after a few lean years, Khan in the US, Hatton out and no heavyweight worth talking about. Props to both men.

And while we're talking Brits, who can forget, imo the best series of fights in 90s boxing: Eubank v Benn v Watson. Sheer violence mixed in with the sweet science and a tragic end which now has an uplifting story to it.
