Opetaia is a different level to Jirov as well.

Cruiserweights (and some light heavys) have shown the capability of moving up and doing well at Heavyweight.

Jirov never had a chance because he's average. He did nothing of any real note at Cruiserweight so his chances at HW were always nil.

IMO Belliew was average and probably did better against Usyk than most and obliterated Haye, twice, in fights everyone expected him to get killed in, but Haye was shotter than we thought. Usyk had the size, but Opetaia looks too small.

Bellew did ok against Usyk, I was ringside for that fight but Usyk was always in control.

I was also ringside for Bellew-Haye 2, but like you say Haye was shot to pieces then.

It’s neither here nor there really, we know that some LHW’s and Crusiers have had very good success at Heavyweight. You just have to be good enough, which Jirov simply isn’t. Jirov did nothing of note in his career, that’s why he failed at HW.
