It's dangerous as hell, that's why it produced so many great fighters, only with the tutelage of Emanual Steward. He surrounded himself with some great trainers doe.

I lived in a suburb outside of Detroit and boxed in their Diamond Gloves and Golden Gloves. As a pro, if the bout was out of state than they announced me as being out of Detroit.

I only fought one of Kronks fighters doe. In my first tournament, second bout.

I've been told that the kid had been around Kronk for years.

They hold them back until they are little dogs looking to be big dogs, then they unleash them.

I had been boxing for about 2 months at that time.

Emanual knew what he was doing.

You asking us if Detroit is dangerous is like me asking you if they have elephants at Piccadilly Circus.

In the battle for the title of "most dangerous city" Detroit's on everyones top five list.

An abandoned city. First, a late occurring 'White flight' in the 1960s and 1970s took away a large percentage of wage earning famlies, followed by a corporation walkout in the 1980s and 1990s.

Little commerce, weak tax base, depressed property values. Michigan has to bleed tax dollars out of its suburbs to keep the city alive.*

In another sense it's not dangerous to you (or me) because unless you're black and live there, you're not going there. No reason to whatsoever (I suspose to buy drugs).**

Every American city has that kind of neighborhood, that's a reality of the World. But Detroit is now just that 'neighborhood.'

          * This is why Michigan is in play for Trump in the 2024 election.

** The the cops will pick you right out and the dealers know better than to risk selling it to you, so never mind, you not there for drugs either.

He never goes deep into analyzing what he speaks about - the content of his videos is more of a summary. They are just well done, but nothing impressive. The guy somehow became popular, that's it.

Your right. And there are some fantastic technical breakdown guys on the tube. I think Rummy has his place as long as one is aware of what they are being entertained with.

To Rummy's credit, A lot of very smart fighters, in addition to those commentators like Rummy and like Dwyer (another Youtube commentator) are wrong most of the time in their predictions. Not that these predictions lack critical thinking, (though lately Dwyer seems to have gone off the reservation) they just are wrong.

As an interesting aside, one can bet on the fights, like Dwyer, and hedge very well, and be successful, despite being wrong lol. Personally I never bet on the fights because of the judges... Example? The PitBull Cruz Rolly Romero fight, one judge had Rolly ahead!! No way am I going to bet when that kind of crap happens, hedge, or no hedge.
