He might have got a belt for drinking the most.

If you told me I would be betting on a LW Title Fight (Fantasy), I would ask, who is Duran fighting? because I would bet on Roberto Duran.

So, wanting to know if I was correct I want to see these sixe fights (in no particular order).

      Duran - B.Lenorad
      Duran - I. Williams
      Duran - T. Canzoneri
      Duran - L. Ambers
      Duran - F. Welsh
Duran - C. Ortiz or J. C. Chavez (sorry for the ambivalence.)

I left out Joe Gans, Packey McFarlen, Battling Nelson because I believe the pre-1920 style of boxing just wouldn't work in a post 1920 universe.

      E. g. What little footage I have seen of Joe Gans leaves unable to envision a match-up with a great 'modern' LW. A personal bias I guess, or more, a personal inability to visualize the event.

I left out Whitaker because he was disrespectful to his opponents, while in the ring, fighting them. I don't mind pre-fight trash talk, it sells tickets. But once in the ring, there should be mutal respect. I tolerate nothing less. He is persona non grata to me.

      Plus he was often boring.
      Ivich Ivich likes this.

Whitaker was fairly distant, sometimes disinterested in person. Not to speak ill of the dead.
