    .... a good fighting heart.

Ballz will get you there, but once you're out you're out.

You could have bowling balls protruding behind that cup , but it would mean nothing.

When you don't see the shot coming in it magnifies the effect of the shot.

Even when you have the heart, the ballz, neck, and the big head, when you are unable to realize that you now need the heart and the ballz. Sleep well.

A couple of easy tasks should be to locate a large headed man with a glass jaw, and pinheads with excellent jaws. The latter chore might have already been accomplished with Hagler. Does anyone know Chuvalo's cranial measurements?

Which really tall, thin men are known for legendary chins? Are there as many legendary chins per capita as among shorter stockier men?
        - - Marv is no pinhaid as photos clearly show. His only unusual trait aside from natural talent and desire to stay in training was he had an unnaturally long reach for his height.

GGG dwarfed him in size if you want to talk about Blocks for noggins that can't be KOed.

Excellent! I was going by someone else's account, Latifah, though I seemed to remember Marv as a pinhead, too. But I like it if he isn't. That means my theory of pinheads is still alive.

I would be very curious to hear some thoughts on the relevance of physiology vs vision/fight IQ to punch resistance. The shots that hurt the most are the ones you don't see coming, since you can't brace for them or defend them, after all.

I think there's a few examples of people in the smaller weight divisions who have been able to take a good flush punch from big punchers for those divisions who didn't have huge necks/heads, although I know the little guys aren't popular on this forum. I can certainly attest to the fact that neck exercise does a lot to help punch resistance though.

Chuvalo said he worked on his collar quite a bit.

An interesting aside from a sparring partner on what may have may have really happened to Mcclellan It is a theory I have not heard before. I am sure some of the boys here have heard it.

McClellan was in dog fighting? That what the link says. That is sick. In fact he is sick. I used to admire him in the ring. I no longer do after reading this. Dog fighting involves the worst people. It full of convicts, drugs, animal abuse, and other things which I heard that I will not repeat.

" According to an article in The Observer, McClellan participated in dog fighting.[15][16] McClellan's trainer and family admitted that McClellan was involved with fighting pitbulls, and on one occasion had used tape to bind the jaws of a Labrador shut before allowing his pet pit bull "Deuce" to kill it "

McClellan did some horrible stuff besides feeding puppies from the pet store to his fighting dogs to make them mean. A big hotel in Florida had a huge circular driveway and a pond for Flamingos. He had a ball running them down with his new sports car. What the heck. Blood washes off.
