I wish Ken and Ric Burns would do a documentary on Dempsey.

At the very least they would hunt down and restore every available photo and film for us.

Dempsey seemed to look more like his father as a child and less like his mother, and more like her when he was an adult. The bulldog jowls and wide face. Some of the first things you see when watching this video are pictures of them all. Haven't gotten to any boxing yet.

I'm inclined to believe it was kosher,Flynn was still a name fighter Dempsey was still rather an unknown.I don't see any logical financial basis for thinking Jack laid down.

- - First round KO with Dempsey having his bro as trainer while poorly nourished, a one off incident never repeated.

Of course more $$$ to be had throwing the fight, so there's that.
