Why are Rocky Marciano fan's so delusional?

Could not agree more. Johnson is known for wins over burns, Ketchel, and Jeffries. Burns and Ketchel were both 5 foot nothing and were middleweight at best. Jeffries hasn't fought in 6 six years and had to lose 100 pounds. yet Johnson who made a career out of fighting fat MWs is great. But Rocky sucks for fighting HWs of his era.
Jeffries did not lose 100lbs.
Q . Which fat middleweights did Johnson fight?
Q. Ketchel was five feet nine and weighed 170lbs for Johnson do you see any fat on him in the film of their fight?
Q. How about Burns? Does he look fat in their fight?
Some of Johnson's opponents.
Willard 238
Jeffries 227
Martin 203
Ferguson 210
Kaufman 191
Jeannette 185
Hart 195
Munroe 220+
Kennedy 200+
Ross 214
Flynn194
Wright 211
Moran 203
Smith 197
Lester 225
Johnson 223
Q.Now point out where I said Marciano sucks?
You decided to add your 2 cents here.
Now would you be so kind as to answer my 4 questions please?

The average weight of Johnsons challengers was the highest until Joe Louis retired.
Jeffries did not lose 100lbs.

did you know that in the olden days boxers didn't punch the face much as that could break the hands as the head is all bone. so boxers punched the body and not the head. So there were less knockouts and more pain and hurt as they were both pounding each other's body.

Big George also BTFO out of Field such that he can no longer hold on to his belts as his KO% nosedive along with his loses.
In short, Big George lost title fights to Ali and Field, but BTFO them so badly they were never the same, losing a couple of battles before winning the WAR
Time to study up...Comment

- - Understood he lost as much as 120 lbs.
Jeff 1st record weight age 21 was 195 that he was never close to again. More than any heavy champ, his weight fluctuated significantly from fight to fight, his highest being 240lb, but if you read his training logs, he was heavy on cardio training and literally dainty on the training table, almost birdseed anorexic.
First clip I've ever seen of him was entering the ring post Fitz/Corbett KO 3/17/1897. He dwarfed all others, a moving mountain among men, likely near 300lbs.
Yet 4 wks later, he's 210lb vs Buskirk. Jeff more gourmand than fighter, but it was fights that put the delights on his table, hence his early retirement where he no longer had to starve himself.
BoxRec: James J Jeffries.

I feel somehow you guys have talked yourself into thinking that 200 lbs is the definition of HW.
When I look at Ivica's list I just picked off the fighters I perceived (along with most observers) the fighters that were, in their day, regarded as HWs. Regardless of their relationship to the magic mark of 200.
The whole weight thing, 200 lbs, is to me a bogus benchmark for HW, which I believe is motivated by judging, in the end, how the fighter would do today. It is just fantasy, not history.
But anyway, why 200 lbs? Is it because it is a round number?
Don't see why 200 lbs is an important benchmark for this debate. Who said it was?Comment
