Vitaly was not a great heavyweight. He was a pretty tough guy with no real punching power and technique. He was all arms when it came to throwing punches.
Vitali Klitschko, the last great heavyweight

what you say got me wandering, can a huge guy be average boxer to be a champion. i don't think so there are plenty of huge guys in boxing clubs all around the world who get beaten up. but i wander if others here think that vitali, vlad, fury are not great just average + size. i don't think so but others seem to think so. cunningham said that in the build up to his fight with fury he said fury is only at that level because he is big. i dont think so but argue with me if you disagree as i'd like to know. was vitali just so big but an average boxer.Last edited by max baer; 05-21-2023, 03:20 PM.Comment

How would Fury and the Klits do if they were 6'2", 220 lbs? Not too well, methinks. What about Wilder? Not too well. All these guys used their size to great advantage. Size was their biggest asset, an asset they did indeed know how to exploit very well against 2nd level competition.Comment

I assume you are able to see when a man has no punching technique. He hit Lewis all night but could barely hurt him, if at all. Lewis not known for a great chin.
