I have found a June 2011 issue of The Ring around my archive, and they still were not listing WBO title fights.

If I manage to find more recent issues, I will definitely let you know.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
You doing a dissertation or writing a book on boxing history, or something?

No, I've just always been interested in the sanctioning bodies. Despite their faults and corruption they are an indelible part of the sport. The WBO is a particular interest as it was resisted in a way that the IBF wasn't. For this reason, the WBO will always hold an anomalous place in boxing title lineage as its early titleholders are not recognised and come with an asterisk and there really isn't a defining point where it became accepted.

Fair enough. Cos if you were writing something, I’d have read it.

Interested in knowing more about this angle, bow you mention it

No Sir, just a researcher like your good self...

From the little I could gather, I'd say that The Ring started acknowledging WBO around the second half of 2013. Check page 31 of this issue, the "strawweights" analysis in the yellow section, it mentions Merlito Sabillo defending his WBO title:

              https://www.ringtv.com/wp-content/up...4/Oct-2013.pdf

Going back to older issues, I could not find any other mentions of WBO in the "Ratings Package" section of the magazine, whereas I looked at some of the issues from the following years, and WBO does get mentions as a legit title every once in a while.

All in all, I think 2013 is probably "the" year of the acceptance of WBO by The Ring. Any addition/correction is obviously welcome!

                - - This is mostly true. It was the Kbros that gave them the most impetus then, and now Bivol highly P4P rated by boxrec.

Thank you so much. It would appear they quietly started to recognise it then, rather than it be some big new editorial line.

This doesn't directly address my question but is an interesting article nonetheless: https://www.ringtv.com/531581-lennox...hampion-world/

Byrd and Sanders legitimized the WBO.
