I'll talk to myself. It can be semi-entertaining. I think the first 10 listed are virtual shoe-ins once their eligibility comes. Below that, the questions come.

These dudes should already be in

I want to make a special entry for this guy

          Jimmy Young

This man should have victories against Muhammad Ali, Ken Norton, George Foreman, Earnie Shavers, and Ron Lyle in the 1970s

Boxing screwed him more than anybody I can think of, so there needs to be a way to put him in there.

            - - As far as practicality for nonvoting nonmembers of IBHOF, picking your nose gives U better results.

It's an annual cash grab 501org with limited facilities. Appreciate the thought and daring that went into the expensive venture, so I'm not really down on them but rather recognizing the inherent limitations involved in enhancing history of a dying sport.

Their induction of a woman recently who never fought a professional nor amateur who provided substantial "records" and "time" invested to get elected pretty much sums up their limitations.

Any of U boys and lurking grrls want to plump for me in 2024?

Dogs, Thank you all. I've been saying for years that Jerry Quarry belongs in the hall. He came along in a very tough era. Holds some big wins over some good fighters.

No doubt about it. His is a Hall of fame career IMO.
If Ali & Frazier were never born Quarry and Ellis would have swapped that title for years between the eras of Liston and Foreman/Norton. And just imagine if there had been a Cruiserweight division in his day!
If ethnicity has any meaning for you; Quarry was the best Caucasian/European descended fighter in the world at his peak, bar none. (The Chuvalo fight was a great win for George, but kind of a fluke). Who would be a better candidate for that (non-racist, just demographic) distinction between 1967 - 1974? Period pros like Tony Doyle, Karl Mildenberger, Boone Kirkman, Jack O'Halloran, Chuck Wepner, James J. Beattie, Ron Stander, Terry Daniels or even Joe Bugner? Career Amateurs Ion Alexe, Bernd Anders, Igor Vysotsky, Peter Hussing? Maybe other stylists such as Joe Lewis, Aleksandr Medved, Chris Taylor, Shota Chochishvili, Savid Starbrook, John Keehan, Bruno Sammartino, Rolls Gracie, Willem Ruska? Not under the rules that world history worries about. It was Quarry and nobody else.
If there were all these WB-this and IB-that titles up for grabs 50 years ago, the Bellflower Bomber would have grabbed himself a trophy case full.

For sure Young would deserve to be inducted much more than a lot of names seen in the previous lists (...Gianfranco Rosi?????)

Still, Young did defeat Foreman and (twice) Lyle.
