On this thread, Dr. Z posted an article that used a deceptive headline, you said Dr. Z is claiming he was KO’d, that’s not what he said, all he did was post an article that used a sensational headline to sell papers. Something I have talked about on here on several occasions. Look at you now, all hysterical using all caps and exclamation points to shout more lies and spout more hyperbole.

Sparring sessions back then could and were often grueling, as intense as a fight. Let’s not pretend Smith snuck in a haymaker while Johnson was there just to dance and pitty-pat for 4 rounds. Dempsey’s sparring sessions were notoriously brutal, as were Greb’s, Johnson’s, and just about all top fighters of the day. Johnson was especially harsh on Cotton when they sparred. Take your L like a big boy and stop all this crying.
DR Z has many times in the past said Smith tko'd Johnson I know you and you dont so stop talking about a subject on which you are entirely ingnorant! It just makes you seem even more ****** that you are.
It isn't a deceptive headline ,it's a fake one and DRZ knows it to be so,just as he knows Smith did not tko Johnson, but you keep defending that lying POS.
Johnson was easy on his sparring partners provided they did not take liberties, any book will confirm that.
He was Cotton's mentor and boosted him to the press at every opportunity.
Greb disliked sparring, he got in shape by regular fighting.
Dempsey was brutal to his spar mates ,you got one out of three right congratulations!

Sure it's a sensationalized headline, but the meat of it reveals it to be as such. It even quotes Smith directly as saying he didn't knock Johnson out.
Pollacks book states clearly that Johnson went 4 rds with Smith DRZ has many times claimed the spar was stopped and Johnson rescued by his manager for atko because he was knocked senseless he repeated this so often on the Classic Boxing Forum that the knowledgeable posters called him out on it naming him as the liar he is.
He is still spreading this lie here describing a knockdown in a spar as a tko .After the 4 rds with Smith Johnson went a further 10 rds with 5 other sparring partners ,that puts the incident in its proper perspective .

Wrong again, Johnson was not easy on his sparring partners, in fact, during public workouts he enjoyed humiliating them as he did to Cotton while he was still a novice. You can read all about it in “The Sundowners”. Admitting you are wrong is a virtue, dig deep and maybe you just might have it in you, but I doubt it.

Is Pollack aware you have an unhealthy infatuation with him? I hope you aren’t stalking that poor man in real life. All I see on this thread is an article that had an incorrect, sensationalized title, which is all Dr. Z posted. He didn’t make any other claims in this thread. You on the other hand are unglued and hysterical, as usual.

and tkod him many, many times. If you want proof check out his posts on the Classic forum.

Adam Pollack is a fine biographer you should get his 1st Vol on Jack Dempsey.

Now is there anything else? Like perhaps you making a thread that doesn't consist of trashing Johnson ? Or how about one called "The Questions I Ducked Answering? That would be a long one! LOL

George Kid Cotton the guy you say Johnson ducked.
Cotton 's career resume is 9-13-1 and he was ko'd 10 times in those 13 defeats.
Yes, I bet Johnson was terrified of him! lol
You're absurd ,do you know that?

I have Pollack’s Dempsey book, waiting on Volume II.

This topic at hand is this thread. Not all the other threads or topics you argued with Dr. Z. In this specific thread you are wrong and still cannot bring yourself to admit it. Petty.

I again showed you up and now you are again deflecting. When Cotton was still a novice and serving as Johnson’s sparring partner, Jack would punish him, especially in front of the press and during public workouts. It’s documented.
