Interesting thought. I believe T.H. and Ray could knock Floyd out, but considering he's never been knocked out at all, a decision seems more likely. However, considering Hearns is a bigger KO puncher than Ray and Duran, I think he would have the best chance of a knockout. Although Duran was heavy handed and a KO puncher, Floyd has a huge reach advantage. That and his defensive skills would, in my opinion be too much for Duran to overcome to win by a knockout. Floyd wins by UD. I see a couple new threads coming on....lol

I saw both fighters in their prime and in real time, rewatched many of their fights many times since. Before I posted this thread, I rewatched them again, regular speed, and slow-mo in certain situations. I also stated I believe Floyd beats Duran by UD, so, that disproves your post. Although these opinions are subjective in methodology, one can be objective in final judgement. I take it on a case-by-case basis. At the end of the day, it's all opinion.

Some people can judge fairly based on their genuine opinion, but in many cases, it's just, oh, the older guy was better because that was the era I grew up with. Nostalgia clouds many people's judgment. People often don't want to think of anyone as being better than any of the top guys of their faves era. Even hardcore Mike Tyson fans, many claim he is the best ever and prime Mike is unbeatable, but the fact is, prime Mike was very well-matched, then prime Mike got completely outboxed by ****-average Douglas, and knocked-out.

In HW boxing, a surprise out of nowhere KO can come, but Mike got an absolute boxing lesson from Douglas, who, as we all know, was nothing special at all. But to his fans, somehow Mike was no longer in his prime here! Though, had he won, that same fight on that same night, it would have been a win in the column of prime Mike. Fans are very, very selective of these things. Cash in

I can't argue with any of that. Well said.

Leonard was a big WW. Has the power edge no doubt. One sided UD Ray.

I actually would see 2 versions:

Floyd losing a decision where he focuses too much on defense and loses by doing and landing nothing. I see this because Leonards speed, power and agressiveness at 147 would instantly make Floyd super cautious.

Version 2 Leonard actually becomes annoyed by Mayweathers style as it begins to frustrate him. He ups the pressure and simply lands a big shot eventually, knocking him out.

It’s Leonard here at his peak, theres nothing that would compare on Floyd Mayweathers resume in regards to a fighter who would come to win and expect to win.

i’m not from those eras, and I can see from watching boxing for many years, that from a h2h standpoint duran, Hearns and Leonard all beat Floyd. The big question is how well does his defense hold up in 12 rounds, but I see Floyd seriously struggling to be offensive against all of them and probably becoming gun shy. At welterweight this happens to him a lot but his opponents simply aren't good enough to damage him.

he struggles bad with Duran for many reasons, Duran is fast, hard hitting and fearless - but also very skillful at cutting the ring off, feinting, countering and most of all performing under the lights on the big stage (when it mattered to him). I think Floyds offense would be severely hindered against a crafty fighter like Duran. If would be worse than Leonard because Leonard has power and is a real welterweight and an even longer reach than Floyd
