Are international titles just the new 'European Title' renamed to be more inclusive?

Not really, it's just a regional belt to work your way up the rankings

I am beginning to wonder if it is all confusing by design.

By design, no. That none have the desire or motivation to clear up the confusion, yes.

It's gotten that way yes. That's why the hardcore fans go by lineal and Ring Magazine champion. Or undisputed, when a fighter can usually capture and keep all the belts, with all the BS mandatories they're made to fight to keep all 4 belts to stay undisputed. But it's pretty easy to look up, at least. Check a fighter's record on Wikipedia, sometimes boxrec and it should tell you if they have lineal, Ring or every available major title in their weight class (WBC, WBA, IBF, now also WBO).

One facetious and at the same disgusting matter involving rankings, is that if you read each Org's. top 10 rankings, not that many guys are even on two of the lists, let alone all four or more. These outfits are in heavy competition with one another. In reality, any Og's top ten is in fact about a top 35. That means 35 made the cut into the top 10. How can we not be disgusted?

The list above did not print which Org. The first one is The Ring, then TBRB, then WBA, then WBC, then IBF, then WBO.

We concentrate on the last four columns, only for heavyweights, which represent the four major Orgs.

Here are the fighters who did not make all four lists, meaning the top ???. I did not check for how current the rankings are,. It doesn't matter. I am sure you get the point for any month.

1 Joe Joyce did not make every list
                2 Robert Helenius
                3 Michael Hunter
                4 Hughie Fury
                5 Tony Joshua!!!
                6 Martin Bakole
                7 Arslanbek Makhmudov
                8 Zahn Kossobutshiy
                9 Deontay Wilder!!!
                10 Lenier Pero
                11 Frank Sanchez
                12 Joseph Parker
                13 Andy Ruiz
                14 Dillian Whyte
                15 Otto Wallin
                16 Tony Yoka
                17 Flip Hrogovic
                18 Agit Kabayel
                19 Murat Gassiev
                20 Demsey McKean
                21 Daniel Dubois
                22 Zhilei Zhang

Welcome to the top 32 heavyweights in the world, supposedly, folks.

Is The Ring calling the title open or are they not denoting champions and the #1 ranking is as high as a fighter can go?
